  • Editorial Review:
Charles Bronson is "a hero all the way" (Variety) as a rogue cop pursuing a deranged killer in this action-packed suspense thriller. Serving up vigilante justice as only he can, Bronson delivers one of his most riveting performances in this "exceedingly well-made" (Gene Siskel) film. Bronson plays Leo Kessler, a cynical Los Angeles cop on the trail of Warren Stacey (Gene Davis), a homicidal maniac who turns rejection from beautiful women into the ultimate revenge. When the legal system sets Stacey free, Kessler plants evidence to put him behind bars for good. But Kessler's plan backfires, leaving him with only one option: to hunt down Stacey on his own…before the crazed killer strikes again!

    10 to Midnight Reviews:
My favorite Bronson film. 4 Star Review
2009-09-27 - This film is worth watching the acting here was solid not great but solid. Obviously the nurses getting slaughtered in this film were inspired by the real life Chicago massacre committed by Richard speck but it was altered so the film won't get sued.

Bronson Was The Best! 5 Star Review
2009-03-11 - "Ten To Midnight" is a great movie if you love tough-guy Charles Bronson! This one is not on regular TV much, due to the "graphic nature" and nudity in the film, no doubt.
I loved this movie when it first came out years ago, and I love it now! Charles Bronson was the original "tough-guy" actor---and I love the way his character has a "backbone" and "metes out punishment" in the form of bullets from his gun, when the bad guy hurts and kills people! Ha Ha--I laugh when I see this! Unlike real life situations, where criminals get away with murder and torture, Charles Bronson's form of vigilante justice is what is so satisfying and entertaining!

I love this movie 5 Star Review
2009-03-05 - This movie is horribly violent, but for some reason I just love it. Maybe it is because I know it isn't real. Anyway, it is one of the Bronson movies that doesn't appear very often and I think it is one of the best.

Bronson vs. crazed misogynist killer. Three guesses who wins. 5 Star Review
2009-01-06 - "10 to Midnight" is easily one of my favorite flicks from the Bronson/Cannon collab catalog of the 1980s. It seems that Menaheim Golan and Yoram Globus saw the market for slasher films was in hot demand and tried to make sort of a hybrid slasher-flick/Bronson cop thriller, and the combo works, thanks in part to an excellent performance by Gene Davis as the killer Warren Stacy. The plot revolves around a string of murders by Stacy, whom Davis effectively portrays as an unstable sociopath with poor social skills who grows to hate women since they always end up rejecting him for his off-putting persona. It's fairly predictable but extremely well-done. Leo Kessler, Bronson's character, stays on Stacey's tail throughout the flick, but when Stacy targets Kessler's daughter, you know Bronson is gonna whip out a can if you know what I mean! Nothing else can be gone into without spoiling.

Bronson plays his usual world-weary geriatric one-man killing machine very well as usual. Highly recommended for all fans of 80s action flicks, Bronson flicks, slasher flicks, etc. A gem here.

Bronson Tracks Nude Slasher=Great Movie 4 Star Review
2008-05-26 - Ten to Midnight is one of those movies I pop in the dvd player at least once a year.
I love revenge movies and I love Bronson, and uber handsome Andrew Stevens who plays his sidekick. Gene Davis" plays a sexually repressed psychopath whom of course has "mother issues" he kills women while he is nude,so killing while naked was fashionable way before Christian Bale's "Patrick Bateman" did it.This film has elements of the Richard Speck story "Chicago Massacre" but still stays original.

You could call it a slasher because the killer does slash his victims and there are some good kill scenes, but it's basically a psychological thriller..
The story is good and the action is nonstop.Bronson is on top of his game in this movie especially since the character that plays his daughter "Lisa Eilbacher" lives in the student nurse dorm that is being terrorized by the naked killer. It also has a good kill scene with "Ola Ray" the girl from the Michael Jackson Thriller Video.
