Editorial Review:
20 track collection of Reba Country classics, recorded live. Although she first became a Country superstar in the early '80s, she had already been a recording artist for nearly a decade before her commercial breakthrough. Since then, she's gone from strength to strength and has become a household name with her own television show, movie roles and many more hits. Features 'I'm Not That Lonely Yet', 'Islands In The Stream', 'Today All Over Again', 'Silver Eagle', 'He Broke Your Memory Last Night' and more. Delta.

Just The Reba I Love 5 Star Review
2008-02-21 - Long before she went to being the queen of "Bubblegum" which is what appeals to most buyers today Reba had no peer singing REAL country music. I remember going to a concert where many of the songs here were sung and the fans loved it!!! This is exactly the way I love to here Reba and as long as I have this CD, I won't be attending any Reba concerts in the future because they can't compare in quality to her early stuff when she was the "real deal". With few exceptions (Poison Sugar, Every Second SOmeone Breaks a Heart) all of the songs are first rate and the performances are stellar. SHe has background singing from her own brother and sister, Pake and Susie. This CD brought back many fond memories when Reba was the true singer of the country song. I was especially touched by "Just a Little Love", "Today All Over Again" "There Aint No Future in This" and one of the most endearing tunes Reba ever recorded, "I'm Not That Lonely Yet". Highly Recommended!!

Live traditional country recordings 5 Star Review
2007-05-16 - Please note that this is a re-issue of a CD previously tithed I'm not that lonely.

Reba has, for a long time, been one the finest singers in country music and these live recordings provide yet further proof, as if that were needed. They were recorded at Doc Severinsen's Music Showplace in Oklahoma City. No date is given but it is likely to be around 1985, given the track selection. Around that time, Reba's recordings were firmly rooted in tradition and that is reflected in these recordings. Pop fans will find nothing of interest here.

Many of the songs are those that Reba recorded during her years on Mercury. Her first MCA album, Just a little love, is represented by five tracks and there is just one more recent song - Red roses won't work now, from Have I got a deal for you? It is, of course, possible that she was singing this in concert for a while before she recorded it in the studio.

There are three songs here that have never appeared on any of Reba's studio albums, these being Up where we belong (a cover of the Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes classic), Islands in the stream (a cover of the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton classic) and Open road (Hot rod guitar), a song that I've not come across elsewhere. The first two are duets featuring Reba's brother Pake. Elsewhere, the album is filled with live versions of her early hits and album tracks including Can't even get the blues, You lift me up to heaven, Today all over again and Just a little love.

Reba's dedicated fans will no doubt want this anyway, but as an introduction to her early music, this is also excellent.

Reba - Just a Little Love 3 Star Review
2006-02-24 - I am a huge Reba fan but unfortunately I was not overly impressed with this cd. There were a few good songs but most were just mediocre.
