Sweet Sixteen Reviews:
The Best
2009-07-06 - This in my opinion is one of Reba's best CD's.
Not one bad thing about it
Reba's attempt at finding her signature style
2008-09-23 - Reba has this stunning vocalization that should have been greatly appreciated. Most of the other recording artists are simply inexperienced and often mediocre when it comes to not fully expressing passion and emotion during the recording. The song, Cathy's Clown is pure in sensation and is better arranged than other recordings done by other artists. Reba made it more endearing while other songs were expressive and colorful with different instrumental arrangement. Walk On, was another uplifting sensation, while others were quite enticing and in good spirits with the time. A lot of other songs could be included with this package though I can quite manage to get more in tune with Reba's thrilling and impressive vocal endurance.
Her 16th album
2007-07-28 - This is Reba McEntire's 16th album and the songs on here are average to good. This CD is traditional country music on some songs and pop music on other songs. "Cathy's Clown" is a good song that The Everly Brothers did in the 60's. I thought Reba did a good job on this song. "Til Love Comes Again" is my favorite song on this CD. It has fiidles and sounds like an old time country song. Another good song on this CD is "You Must Really Love Me" A very good song about how a man loves his woman even in her bad times and no matter what she does he will always show her he loves her. The worst song on this Cd which I do not care for is "Little Girl." "Walk On" is an uptempo song which is the fastest song on this CD. "Somebody Up There Likes Me' is too pop for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I love every kind of music there is but this song does not belong on any Reba CD. "It Always Rains On Saturday" is a tear jerker about a mother who has joint custody of her son and when Saturday gets here she is sad because he has to go back to his father. "Say The Word" is another good song on this CD that will keep your feet tapping.
THERE ARE SOME GOOD SONGS ON HERE BUT SHE'S DONE BETTER!
2005-09-27 - Reba has done way better.....(For My Broken Heart...the prime example). This is an album that contains some good songs...."A New Love" (one of the few uptempo songs I like even though this one could hardly be classified as country, "Walk On" which would be dandy if it would have had a bluegrass arrangement and "Cathy's Clown" which features Reba in one of her most endearing performances. I also enjoyed thoroughly "Til Love Comes Again" and "It Always Rains on Saturday". I did not like "Somebody up There LIkes Me", "Little Girl" "Say the Word" or "Am I the Only One Who Cares". Two stars is enough.
THIS ONE HAD POSSIBILITIES
2005-09-21 - This one has some good stuff on it but not enough for me to give it more than 2 stars. "Cathy's Clown" is a good cover, something Reba usually don't do well. I also like "A New Love", "Walk On", and "It Always Rains on Saturday". The standout is "Till Love Comes Again".
