The Trip to Bountiful Reviews: The Trip to Bountiful 2004-07-13 - This is one of the best, most heartfelt and moving films I have ever seen. It is so simple, and yet so beautiful. The film is about a old woman who wants only to visit her hometown of Bountiful one last time. Some of the best acting I've seen. I highly recommend.
Geraldine Page is an Amercan treasure of stage and screen 2004-07-07 - Although the great Geraldine Page died in 1987, her brilliant screen performances live on! Nominated for 8 Oscars and winner of 1 for Best Actress for her last film "The Trip to Bountiful" in 1986, I find it surprising that many of her films for which she was Oscar nominated are not on DVD (yet). "Summer and Smoke", "Sweet Bird of Youth" (both Tennessee Williams classic works in which she lit up the screen)and "The Trip to Bountiful" are just 3 examples. Hopefully, her devoted fans won't have to wait too much longer.
Good Movies Should Stay 2004-03-29 - This movie should be around for years to come. What happened? I would love to have it in DVD form.
