Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence star in this stupid comedy about a stressed-out white executive who takes a black carjacker hostage and forces him to go along on a road trip to nowhere. The duo, of course, forge a bond but find their journey interrupted by a tarantula, a pair of stickup men, a lip-synching security guard, and loads of dull sight gags. The film looks like it's supposed to suggest increasing depth for writer-director Steve Oedekerk (writer for The Nutty Professor), but he seems content with merely purloining the outline of a classic story (a white man and a black man, worlds apart, go on the run together) and filling it in with complete fluff. 2009-10-20 - I had been wanting to buy this DVD for a while and had a hard time finidingit until I visited Amazon.com. I received it in less then a week after ordering it.

Another Childhood Favorite!!!
2009-06-14 - Ever since I saw this at the theatre when I was 7 years old, this has been one of my favorite movies! Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence were awesome together! Robbins plays an advertising executive named Nick Beam who has a pretty good life and an awesome wife. One day when he comes home, he thinks he sees his wife and his boss having sex. After going into deep depression, he is almost mugged by a man named T. Paul. Nick turns the tables and kidnaps the robber. They soon become friends and come up with a plan to rob Nicks boss. They soon must deal with a pair of bad guys who also want the money. I highly recommend NOTHING TO LOSE!!!

2009-05-17 - Funny, and great moral to the story. How one person's life and it's complications can effect another's. How they came together for a common cause and the risks that came along with it.

The best martin lawrence film
2009-03-11 - An absolutely perfect pairing. Yes, you will find the typical Martin Lawrence white people vs. black people jokes in this one (but it works very nicely). The reason why it works is because the much accomplished Tim Robbins is there to balance off Martin Lawrence. Their dialogue in this movie is hilarious and Martin Lawrence's facial expressions and body movements alone are reason enough to watch it. I have watched this film over twenty times and at the same parts I still laugh. That is the sign of a true comedic success. It is comparable to Dumb and Dumber when it comes to replay value (although it lacks the creativity of Dumb and Dumber).

To sum it up, if you like comedy or if you like Martin Lawrence or Tim Robbins, or if you just want a good laugh, this is the movie for you!

A decent movie, if you don't get your expectations too high
2009-03-04 - It is a decent movie and has its comical moments. Although not what I'd consider hilarious I bought this one from amazon.com for my girlfriend that absolutely loved this movie and was worth it just to see her crack up each time at what she calls the "spider-dance" scene. On a side note, it is now available at the Walmart "bins" for about half the price.
