The Best of Red Hot Chili Peppers Reviews:
It spans the early years 5 Star Review
2008-02-05 - If you are looking for a cheap, early years collection of the Peppers, look no further. This one, 'Ten Best Series,' has 10 of their top early songs, including 'Higher Ground,' 'If You Want Me To Stay,' and 'Me and My Friends.' It's a nice edition if you are a new fan of the Peppers and you own the 'Greatest Hits' record.

Positives
-These are 10 of the best Peppers early tracks. All of the real early hits on the Capitol label are here.
-The sound quality is excellent.
Negatives
-They probably should have included 'Magic Johnson,' 'Catholic School Girls Rule,' and 'The Brothers Cup.' These would all fit nicely here.

If you're a budget minded Peppers fan, you probably should check this one out. However, you may want to note that all 10 of these appear on the 'What Hits!?' record.

Give It Away isn't on this because... 3 Star Review
2006-12-27 - that "hit" song was on Blood Sugar Sex Magik on Warner Bros. This CD is a comp of the earlier EMI years.

No Give It Away? 4 Star Review
2006-08-09 - That makes no sense! Why, may I ask, was Give It Away not included even though it was released seven years before this compilation? That song is awesome!! Anyway, I'm generally not an alternative-rock fan, but the Chili Peppers are an exception because of their unique blend of funk, rock and rap. And this is a decent introduction, though I've got no clue why Give It Away was omitted. Still, there are plenty of good songs - Behind the Sun, Johnny Kick a Hole in the Sky (my favorite Chili Peppers tune), True Men Don't Kill Coyotes, Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground, antidrug anthem Knock Me Down, Fight Like a Brave, and Sly Stone's If You Want Me to Stay. Johnny Kick a Hole in the Sky alone is worth the price of admission, but if you can find a comp with both Johnny and Give It Away, go for it!

A good album 5 Star Review
2000-06-13 - This album has some of their best old songs and is pretty good. It has a great price too. If you want a great hits album spend 2 extra bucks and get what hits? , which has double the songs of this and is a hell of a lot better.

pretty good 4 Star Review
2000-01-18 - this is one of the chilli pepper's better albums. it has a lot of they're old school rap/funk kind of stuff. its really different from theyre newer stuff. it also includes one song that i thought was just great to hear the red hot chilli peppers do a cover of - "fire" by jimmi hendrix
