  • Editorial Review:
Bounty hunters from the future raid the present to provide new bodies for the super rich in the all-out, pedal-to-the-medal sci-fi thriller Freejack, directed by Geoff Murphy (Young Guns) and sparked by the imagination of Alien and Total Recall veteran Ronald Shusett.

Emilio Estevez, Mick Jagger, Anthony Hopkins and Rene Russo star, keeping pace with the scenic, supersonic excitement. Prior to a crash, race car driver Alex Furlong (Estevez) is snatched from his cockpit and hurled into the futureworld of 2009. He's dead. And running for his life. He's a "freejack," a stranger in the strangest of lands. And a relentless "bonejacker" (Jagger) can collect millions bringing him in.

    Freejack Reviews:
You'll love this movie if you have no taste whatsoever. 1 Star Review
2009-09-19 - How does one combine the gilded luster of Sir Mick Jagger's blinding "kavorka" with the ever-demanding and untamed bravado wielded by "The" Sir Tony Hopkins; thrust upon you, daring your very existance? You must first travel back to the year 1992, for there is only one who radiates the 'gusto grandioso' this rabid, no-holds-barred world of greed and lust desires...His name is Emilio "The Alchemist" Estevez, and he WILL NOT SUBMIT to the 21st Century!! Pack your bags for this tour-de-force that tears through the very fabric of time! In The Year 2009 A.D., Getting Jack'd Off Is Never Free

Regarding "Freejack" (June 1, 2004) DVD Release 4 Star Review
2009-08-09 - Few things Regarding "Freejack" (June 1, 2004) DVD Release:

    - It is NOT "Letterbox" as described on the back of the case. It is in fact WS enhanced Anamorphic transfer with a 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 ratio. The transfer quality is excellent !!

    - Special Features are lacking, some Cast Bio's in Menu form and a Trailer of "FreeJack". The Trailer is Pan/Scan 1.33:1.

    - Audio is either 5.1 English or 5.1 French, NO commentary tracks. Subtitles are English, Spanish, and French

This answered my question 1 Star Review
2009-08-03 - FREEJACK is on my list of Top Ten Worst Movies I'v ever seen. I've been seeing so many four- and five-star ratings for things on Amazon that I thought I'd look p something truly horrific and see if people really had general bad taste.

    They do.

One Mississipi... Two Mississipi 5 Star Review
2009-08-02 - Freejack it is a cult movie when you can see new things that makes science fiction - action movies classic situations, chasings, humor, suspense, production and acting in a very good combination.

    awesome 5 Star Review
2009-06-15 - This one of the coolest sci-fi movies you will ever see, the whole concept of this movie is so fantastic, that who knows if it was ever possible. Life might be just like it was portrayed in the movie. great acting, by a whole bunch of great actors even Mr.Rolling stone himself wasn't bad in this movie. Although the the music of the Stones is what he will be remembered by not his acting. You won't be dissappointed even if you buy this movie un-seen, because when you do see it you'll agree with me I am sure.
