Editorial Review:
Imagine if one day, out of the blue, your wildest dreams came true! That's exactly what happens to junior executive Larry Burrows (James Belushi -- TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS) when he bumps into a mysterious stranger (Michael Caine -- MISS CONGENIALITY, CIDER HOUSE RULES). Instantly, Larry's ho-hum life becomes his ultimate fantasy -- huge mansion, beautiful wife, cars galore. But before long, his new lifestyle isn't so enchanting. Ultimately, Larry discovers it's going to take a lot more than wishful thinking to get back to where he once belonged! Co-starring Linda Hamilton and comedian Jon Lovitz, MR. DESTINY is a delightful rags-to-riches comedy brimming with totally magical entertainment!
Mr. Destiny Reviews:
A wonderful fantasy film
2009-09-13 - A great fantasy film where a wish becomes reality and thrusts James Belushi into another verson of his life without mistakes. Everyone in this film contributes to a wonderful family classic.
Great movie...great quality...I would buy it again
2009-09-03 - You can't beat the used prices. I purchased this movie to add to our family collection. No one can tell the movie isn't brand new.
OBG (oldy but goody)
2009-08-29 - I like this movie and I havent moved on as yet to blu ray thanks
An Awesome Film!!!
2009-06-08 - My dad and I watched this at 5:00 in the morning today, and I thought it was really good! It has a great storyline, great message, and great actors! On Larry Burrow's 35th birthday, he is really depressed and fired from his job because he found out that one of his co-workers will cripple the company that he works for. He goes to a bar and talks to the bartender named Mike. Larry blames all of his problems on a baseball game he lost 20 years ago. When Larry drinks a special mix of drinks, he is transferred to an alternate reality where he is rich, the boss of the company, and he has another wife. He likes it at first, but then he realizes that he wants his old life back. I highly recommend MR. DESTINY!!!
Light and enjoyable
2008-09-02 - Yeap.. this a modern day knock off of "What a Wonder Life". In general, it was layed out well, the acting came off natural and the dialog was realistic. If you like this movie... check out "Groundhog Day."
