Don't Stop the Music Reviews:
decent techno jam
2008-09-29 - yes you like rihanna and techno dig this and the michael jackson sample works also.
Hot single and remix!
2008-06-12 - I'd love to hear more from this new artist. This is my first single CD of Rhianna. I never quite heard her music before. But I dig this single cut. Her voice is quite unique and charming. Rhianna's voice in this song, Don't Stop The Music, is quite clear. The beat is tantalizing. It is a clone of Madonna's style. That's hot!! Not many people can be on the same vibe as Madonna. You got it going, Rhianna!! Keep up the good work!
Awesome Dance Song
2008-02-07 - I heard this song on the radio last week and loved it. I liked "Umbrella" and "Shut Up and Drive", but "Don't Stop the Music" got me to buy the CD. It's the best dance song that I've heard in a long while. Even the sampled Michael Jackson didn't ruin it for me (and I really hated the "Ma ma se, ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa" part of "Wanna Be Startin' Something", but it works here).
If you like dance music and like Rihanna, you'll love this song.
Another Rihanna Sample
2008-01-29 - When it comes down to sampling, no female artist has thrived in the spotlight like Rihanna. While she has had some dominant success, she hasn't really showed anything else but being a dance diva. While her last singles with Ne-Yo on Hate That I Love You was a soulful surprise, and the hypnotic Umbrella delivered well with listeners, she has made a few misteps along the way. Her latest single from A Good Girl Gone Bad, Don't Stop The Music, goes back to her sampling roots, by taking a sample of Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Something. The song here doesn't feel like it is anything out of the ordinary, and lacks being something different. The song feels like something she sounded before, and the feeling of her voice on this song lacks a bit of polish. Hopefully, if she has another single, she'll do a better job.
