Suspense Classics 50 Movie Pack Collection Reviews:
Suspense Classics
2009-08-25 - The product is of good quality, actually quality you would expect from the older movies. My only disappointment was I ordered more than one movie pack; Box Office Gold, Suspense Classics and Best of TV Detectives. There were many, many duplicates. If I had only ordered one movie pack this probably would not have been a problem.
Not so good
2009-08-09 -
Perhaps I have become a bit spoiled by new tecnology. After viewing several of these movies I am not impressed.
VERY POOR SOUND QUALITY
2009-05-21 - Very poor sound quality. Entire scenes have garbled sound. No closed caption - of course - these are old movies that would be fun to watch if we could hear the words.
I will update if we find movies that we can hear.
Received this set mid May 2009.
Suspense
2008-09-19 - Heavy on acting but light on content.
The documentary on Sobibor is a gem.
50 Flicks of Public Domain Suspense
2008-07-19 - Suspense Classics is a collection of 50 suspense movies that have only one thing in common: they are all public domain and as such it is possible for them to be presented in highly affordable collections. I paid $16.47 for my set and that comes down to less than 40 cents per movie. The way that movie tickets cost nowadays, you really cannot complain about this collection.
This deal is even better when you consider that many of the movies in this collection are available as individual movie DVD's at prices of $5 and higher. Many of the movies in this collection are presented in better condition than they are from other DVD companies.
All in all, a great deal for the money.
