5 BIG STARS 5 Star Review
2009-06-07 - This is a fantastic movie that would be as successful as Seabiscuit if people knew about it. I want to buy several copies but can't find it in DVD...please release on DVD!

My Favorite Movie of all time 5 Star Review
2008-11-01 - Yes this is my favorite movie and I hope they release it on DVD soon.. The story makes me cheer and cry so many times over. A horse with a heart of gold. A feel good movie of all times! Please release on DVD soon! ( And don't buy any boot-legged copies as a copy I bought on Ebay they showed the ending first leading into the movie! I was so upset )

    Amazing Movie 5 Star Review
2008-05-22 - This was a wonderful movie and a complete tear jerker!! No matter how many times I see it, it makes me cry!! This movie needs to be released to dvd format!! There are many people out there that feel the same way I do!! I would be one of the first in line to buy this!!!

Good but not the greatest 3 Star Review
2008-05-04 - He was a great horse but let's be real. Statements that he'd beat Secretariat by a length are ridiculous. Yes, let's just ignore the fact that Phar Lap never once matched Secretariat's fastest times at 1.25, 1.5 or anything in between. Secretariat STILL retains some world records. No horse has ever even broken 2:25 in 1.5 on dirt and Secretariat did it a full second faster. At his fastest, no thoroughbred in history could defeat him.

    Please.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER!!! 5 Star Review
2007-11-02 - At the snap of my fingers when asked what my favorite movie of all time is...It is Phar Lap. It has been many years since i have seen it. I think they show it on AMC or Turner classics every once in awhile. Reading the reviews here brings tears to my eyes thinking about the value the movie has played in my life. I was in my teens when I first saw it, and I still take every step with the lessons and meanings I learned from this movie.

Seabiscuit was a Lite version of Phar Lap. To me It seemd like an out right rip off. I feel the release of Seabiscuit pretty much doomed this movies DVD release in the States. But still, this is motion picture and a story telling creation at its very best. The quality of the movie runs neck and neck to the nonfiction reality of the myth that was created by the creature. The horse so powerful that even in re-creation can conjure spiritual guidance through ones own life. Not just a beast, but even after death a charismatic anthem to life itself. I pray for this horses soul. he is blessed.

If they made this product available, this is one I would personally buy at least 50 copies of and give out as gifts to those I cared about the most.
