The suavest saint this side of trouble is back in black and white!

Always attuned to those in distress, as well as to those in dresses, Roger Moore's portrayal of THE SAINT is the stuff of television legend. Circling the globe in his distinctive white Volvo, charm was Simon Templar's weapon of choice. Bringing with him an impeccable taste for life's finer things, THE SAINT dashed through one heart-racing adventure after another, forever chased by Scotland Yard's peppermint-chewing Inspector Teal.

Fearless and debonair, with a rogue's eye toward justice--Simon Templar, otherwise known as THE SAINT, embarks upon 16 dazzling episodes of intrigue!

DVD Features: The History of THE SAINT; Roger Moore Biography and Filmography; Photo Gallery; Interactive Menus; Scene Selection

The Saint - The Early Episodes, Set 2 Reviews:
    What memories 5 Star Review
2009-05-19 - I love the early saint films in B/W. Every
fiture is all Roger More action at its
best. The DVD and Sound are great.

The Saint - The early episodes, Set 2 5 Star Review
2009-01-26 - I wouldn't have bought the 2nd set if I didn't like the first set. The fact is, I am an enormous fan of Roger Moore as The Saint and James Bond. I own all the episodes of The Saint that A&E has released on DVD. I will never tire viewing well written stories of suspense, good morals and excellent acting. I recommend The Saint - The early episodes, or any of the other episodes to anyone who enjoys viewing good old fashion television that was more about the story and acting than special effects fancy digital videoing.

Classic Roger Moore 5 Star Review
2008-07-17 - Roger Moore is at his best as Simon Templar - aka The Saint. These episodes are period Brit TV at its best, running the gamut from quaint settings to world capitals. Moore is witty and urbane, and a lot of fun, with occasional asides to the audience. Video quality is good, bearing in mind this was shot a long time ago in black and white. The cars alone are worth the price of admission, with lots of scenes in Moore's white Volvo P1000.

The Saint Collection Set II Review 5 Star Review
2008-07-07 - This is really cool. I also reviewed the Set I collection and will just say the same thing for this set...I remember the old reruns on TV from when I was little, and recall enjoying them so I took a chance and bought this set. I do not regret it. Even these early episodes are very well-written, well-acted, and to my surprise the film quality is quite good. Sometimes with older TV shows you get iffy visual quality, but these are crystal clear. Moore is terrific as the Saint. It's also cool to see different parts of the world circa the early 1960's. Cool cars, cool furniture, everyone is well-dressed, and of course Moore is very classy. The thing that impressed me the most is the writing and the plots. I was afraid TV from this era might not age well, but they're not cheesy at all, and they really did age quite well. Still completely watchable today.

When Will the Rest Be Available? 3 Star Review
2007-09-19 - Just wondering if anyone knows when the remaining "Early Episodes" will be available, if at all?
