Brian Jones : The Inside Story of the Original Rolling Stone Reviews:
Brian Jones was my FAVORATE Rolling Stone!!! 5 Star Review
2008-09-23 - Unlike the other reviewer, I HAVE heard of Fitzgerald and believe his account. Who doesn't know , who has researched this subject at all that Guiness Heir Tara Browne, who "blew his mind out in a car", was a close friend of Brian's? So you consider it odd that the other Guiness heir knew him as well?
From my rather exhaustive research on this subject I have seen that Anita Pallenberg, big strapping girl that she was , claimed little bitty Brian "beat" her. Funny thing is Brian was the one who ended up with the broken ribs!
Mick Jagger, the devil himself . cast as a villian? Say it ain't so!
History is told by the survivors and Jagger and Richards and their drug-addled women have done all they could to expunge Brian Jones' legacy from the books!
Just hasn't worked!
Read what Pete Townsend has said about how Jagger/Richards treated Brian, and what Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman have to say.
I like the book and dropped in here to buy another copy!

Cleverly written but not true. 1 Star Review
1999-02-03 - Nicholas Fitzgerald's biography about the founder and musical genius of The Rolling Stones was certainly a page turner but one has to question the truth to his story. Fitzgerald, a Guiness heir, claimed to have been close friends to Brian Jones during height of Stonesmania in the mid 60's, to his accidental drowning, or should I say murder, in July 1969. For a person who was as close to Brian Jones as Fitzgerald claims, one has to wonder why his name is mentioned in no other books written about the star or books about The Rolling Stones. People who were close to Brian Jones and the Stones during this time such as former lovers Marianne Faithfull, Anita Pallenberg and close personal friends have never mentioned or heard of Fitzgerald. The book was cleverly written but not true.
