Saint of Me Reviews:
gimme shelter is a must
2008-07-06 - This disc is worth it for the live version of Gimme Shelter which here is far different than the live versions that appear on No Security and Live Licks. If you like the muddy mix of Exile on Main Street then this is the version of Gimme Shelter you want to add to your collection.
One of the best songs
2007-06-18 - One of the best songs of TRS in all time. Beautiful single for your collection.
Many Versions Of This CD Single Exist
2001-07-06 - Just FYI, there are at least 3 different Saint Of Me CD single releases.....the following tracks are available in different combinations: Saint Of Me (Single Edit) Saint Of Me (Radio Edit) Saint Of Me (Deep Dish Club Mix) Saint Of Me (Deep Dish Grunge Garage Dub) Saint Of Me (Tod Terry Extended Remix) Anyway You Look At It Gimmie Shelter (Live) In addition, the following mixes exist on 12" vinyl: Saint Of Me (Deep Dish Grunge Garage Remix) Saint Of Me (Deep Dish Rolling Dub) Personally, I like the single and radio edit versions best, but if you're into techno or dance mixes, the 12" stuff will appeal to you more as they run 7-13+ min.
Great Single!!!!
1999-08-12 - This is a great single! The first song is a radio edit of "Saint Of Me", it's shorter than the album version. The second song is an excellent full live version of "Gimme Shelter", unlike what is on "No Security." The next song is a cool re-mix of "Anybody Seen My Baby?" The last song is a "deep dish grunge garage dub" of "Saint Of Me." It's also really cool.
CD Appeals to All Age Groups
1998-05-27 - The first time I heard "Saint of Me," I didn't recognize it as a Rolling Stones' release. Selections are very diversified. Selections would appeal to "old timer" fans, or to younger generation just learning to appreciate the Rolling Stones. I thoroughly enjoy this CD and highly recommend it.
