28 Weeks Later / 28 Days Later (2 pack) Reviews:
GOOD movies and package!!!! 5 Star Review
2009-10-15 - PERFECT for Halloween, leave a light on while watching these mpives is my BEST advice. ; )

    ZenZombie 5 Star Review
2009-10-14 - I have been really getting into zombie movies lately. I think some of the most well thought out post apocalyptic scenario films are zombie movies. They seem to all point to a kind of common message; like how humanities greed and raping of the environment and lust for war is ultimately unsustainable, with everyone turning into zombies for one reason or another as the result: Then lots of great killing sprees of a common enemy we can all get behind; Cool! I really think these 2 movies in particular, even better when bought together really show people facing their fears and meeting up with their inner demons and not just having some just scary situations for their shock value. The music sort of draws you into the plot and their is a decent story, that while not amazing, story it keeps things real. If you like zombie movies as a category, or if you enjoy drama with a twist, then you might enjoy 28 days Later and 28 Weeks Later.

The Infection Spreads and We Lose Control. 4 Star Review
2009-08-10 - 28 Days Later: In Great Britian in a post-apocalyptic period we see what happens when "the infected" Chimpanzee's are introduced to something called "Rage." A rescue group hell bent on saving the "infected" Chimps are attacked and the virus spreads fairly quickly. 28 Days Later: A man named Jim later awakens from a coma to soon discover London, England is pratically deserted. After trying to survive the now "infected" persons he stumbles upon a few other survivors throughout the film. Will they or won't they ever have a chance to survive and be rescued?

The film starts off quite intense and then quickly slows down to give you a feel of what has happened since the outbreak. Indeed I would agree with other reviewers and would not call this your typical "horror" film in a sense. However, that is what makes it so great. To me this is very reminiscent of the classic suspense/horror films. The film also provides a realistic outlook of what could possibly happen to destroy the world's humanity in a zombie like fashion. In my opinion the horror lies more with what has happened to the humans who have survived - our main characters/heros excluded to an extent. As always in films I was also left with a few questions; however, a must watch for any Suspense/Horror/Zombie-ish lover!!!

I also might add this film was extremely beautifully shot! I loved the scenes and images from London and in the English countryside. I really thought it really made and added to the film as well as the soundtrack.

    RATING: 4 1/2 stars.

28 Weeks Later: Continues with another group of survivors holding up in the English countryside/farm. That is until another survivor enters along with the "infected" not far behind him. Jump to Britian we find that most of the "infected" has now starved to death and the non infected population have started reconstruction with the help of an American-led NATO force. Two children (who are now the youngest in the country) reenter London, England's "safe zone." They reunite with their father until all hell breaks lose again!

A not too shabby sequal with a unique look on hope and survival after a zombie like "infected" outbreak. The movie is filled with complete twists and turns from beginning to end. Like the first film I had a hard time finding a few likeable characters within this one. However, no fear they do exist! This is another beautifully shot film, but just a bit more dark.

    RATING: 3 1/2 - 4 stars.

THE 2 PACK: The only reason why I bought the 2 pack is because I did not think it was badly priced and I had already seen and rather liked 28 Weeks Later, but wanted to see the first much talked about film. So either way if you buy the DVD's individually or as a 2 pack you love both films and the content on them either way!

INCLUDES: 28 Days Later: Awesome audio commentary by Director Danny Boyle and Writer Alex Garland. Alternate Endings/Deleted Scenes w/Optional Commentary. Making Of. Music Video. Animated Storyboards. Beautiful Still Photo Gallery. + Theatrical Trailer's and more! (Personal Favorites: Director/Writer Commentary and Still Photo Gallery.)

28 Weeks Later: Commentary by Director/Co-Writer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Producer/Co-Writer Enrique Lopez Levigne. Deleted Scenes w/Optional Commentary. Making Of. Featurette's. Stages (Animated Graphic Novel). And Theatrical Trailer.

BOTH FILMS BEST VIEWED: In complete darkness with the volume up really high!

28 Days Later / 28 Weeks Later Review 5 Star Review
2009-01-10 - These 2 movies are about a virus called "Rage" that is borne by body-fluids and within 20 seconds of exposure to it you have it. The movies take place in London & surrounding area. If you like zombie movies and horror movies, this is the stuff. Not for children I wouldn't think. Lots of bloody gore, infected people chasing & eating people. Infected people being shot & blown up. Both movies are very scary in that the people who are not infected are very few, and the infected people are chasing them down all the time - very graphic and scary. I loved both movies, but I thought the second movie was done better. I couldn't wait to watch them again!

    28 days/weeks later 1 Star Review
2008-12-29 - I ordered this item expecting 28 days later and 28 weeks later and I received 2 copies of 28 days later. Very disappointed.
