Insightful look at accomplished actors 
2008-12-17 - Although I'm not the biggest Lipton fan I do respect his ability to probe actors about their work and methods. My personal negative is Lipton's stock questions such as 'What is your favorite word.' The interviews vary in quality but this pack of interviews have top notch actors. I've been a big Pacino fan but I haven't really liked his turn from a fine nuanced actor to a bigger than life performer. Pacino talks about his Scent of a Woman performance and said he decided to go bigger, taking a risk. It gave me more respect for his choice.
Lipton is wild.

The DVD version is edited, just like the TV version 
2007-12-15 - I saw the Al Pacino interview on DVD, and they have edited the language, just like the TV version.
What is the benefit of buying the DVD version if we cannot hear the full dialogue of these great actors?
Terrible decision to edit the DVD. I recently saw the Robin Williams interview on Bravo. Enormously funny, which made me think about buying the DVD version, if it exists. However, the TV version is heavily edited or "bleeped" out. Now I know the DVD version is exactly the same as the TV version. I think that one of the benefits of buying a program is that we get to see the full, raw interview. Not for this series, unfortunately.
4 stars for the interview, 0 stars for the Actors Studio dopes who decided to heavily edit what these great actors are saying.
