2003-02-06 - "Power of Persuasion" is a blockbusting success riding on the highly touted first two novels and again gleefully breaking the barriers of the routine romance genre. A.J. Grayson is truly believable as the 20-something-year-old computer geek PhD whose science and computer knowledge has developed an artificial intelligence system which may predict events as intriging as espionage and military operations. Recruited to use her system "Poppet" for something other than predicting consumer trends and product acceptance for the Grayson conglomerate, she is tasked by a US government espionage agency to help protect the newly enstalled king of Jafir, Damon Toca. The new king is anything but happy about the mantle that has been layed on his reluctant shoulders, but he tries to cope with his new and totally unexpected status with the help of the facinating A.J. Grayson. Mysteries and intrigue surround and abounds making for one of the most interesting and entertaining novels this year.
Montgomery strikes again!
2002-11-10 - In this third book in the ISA series, Selena Montgomery brings together A.J. Grayson and the new king of Jafir, Damon Toca. Again, Ms. Montgomery weaves together romance and suspense as A.J. and Damon must use her artificial technology to stop Damon's enemy from sabotaging a vital international conference. And they have to accomplish this while fighting not to fall in love--A.J. because she's has a plan for her life that doesn't include love and Damon because he's afraid that any woman he chooses will face a life of danger. But they are both destined for disappointment, when circumstances persuade them that love is its own adventure and protection.
Like Rules of Engagement and The Art of Desire, Ms. Montgomery pens an intelligent, sensual novel that engages the reader's mind and heart. While Ms. Montgomery is definitely not your traditional romance novelist, she is certainly my favorite! I can't wait to see what she does next!

Her stories engender skill one would expect from a veteran craftperson such as Nora Roberts with acres of novels to her credit. The most recent in the Grayson trilogy, "Power of Persuasion" is a blockbusting success riding on the highly touted first two novels and again gleefully breaking the barriers of the routine romance genre.
