Editorial Review:
Tales of a Sacred Prostitute is a true-life story of Selena Truth - a woman who bridged the gulf between spirituality, healing and the bourgeoning American sex industry. Erotic and intimate, this autobiographical expose of Tantric lovemaking takes the reader on a journey into the taboo world of modern-day sacred prostitution. Selena emerges a Tantric missionary with mastery in the art of ecstatic pleasures and esoteric knowledge of the fullness of life.
Tales of a Sacred Prostitute: Revelations of How Sexual Energy Heals Reviews:
Couldn't put it down
2009-07-21 - My husband traded books with the author of Tales of a Sacred Prostitute. As soon as I touched Selena's book, I could not put it down. I started reading it immediately. The stories were an easy read. The conversations seemed very real--almost like she had a tape recorded her interactions. I found myself drinking in all the words, and when I finished her book, I felt satisfied.
Prostitution sounds like such a dirty word--nasty and hidden. Tales of a Sacred Prostitute, underneath the exciting stories, is about healing energy. Selena shares with great depth about her life and her sacred work.
Selena thank you for your willingness to share your stories with such openness. I appreciate your perspective.
A Well Written Book
2009-05-16 - You can tell immediately when reading this book that the author is well educated. Later you find out she has ten years of college and a BA degree. Her reconstruction of the dialogue between people is exceptional. Its as though you were there and the conversation took place yesterday. Actually, the main negative of the book is that you'll want more, to learn more about Selena Truth's background and to grasp a greater understanding of the life style choices she has made that has led her to her discoveries. For example, I would have loved to have learned more about her life growing up in the south, and various experiences she had before choosing prostitution. Its an easy read, short (149 pages) and difficult to put down. She also reveals her strong interest in Tantra as well.
