Strip Reviews:
good relaxing music
2008-06-19 - This CD was very good, smooth music. Selena Cross definitely is a cd I would listen to over and over.
Beautiful soulful album
2008-01-04 - I heard about Selena when she added me on Myspace!
Normally I ignore band-adds, but her profile was playing the mournful track "Silence" and I loved it - and bought the album. She is skillful vocalist - the album is good range of gentle upbeat pop and soulful ballads.
Favorite tracks -
#3 Memories Won't Fade - dramatic with hints of Natalie Imbruglia.
#5 And you were There - a soulful love song
#11 Save Me - a slow lament, with relentless drum beat.
#12 Silence - a slow and dramatic piano/voice solo, best on the album.
Silence - An Undiscovered Smash Hit!
2007-05-11 - My rating for this album is for the final track alone, "Silence", which is absolutely stunning. This track, in the hands of the right team, really could have been been a global smash hit. The lyrics, vocal performance, production and overall emotion of "Silence" are exceptional. It is amazing that four years on, such a well-written song hasn't been grabbed up by someone (or some company) wishing to cash in on this rare gem. Yes, there are other nice pop tracks on "Strip" but I never really got beyond "Silence" - it captivated me, as it will you if you listen to it. 5/5.
AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!
2006-12-04 - I found Selena Cross quite by accident by stumbling across a sampler and I immediately ordered it ~ I am NOT disappointed with it. Her lyrics are right on the money and her voice delivers. Amazing talent. No boredom to be found on this album.
You'll thank yourself for nabbing this one.
Sensational
2004-03-09 - i have been a Selena Cross fan for nearly a year now, and i would be hard pressed to say that the album gets old or "repetitive" by any stretch of the word. it'd be difficult to find another artist with an album as vivacious as this one.
