Ro-man, an alien that looks remarkably like a gorilla in a diving helmet, has been sent to Earth as the advance party of an impending invasion. Destroyed all but six people on the planet Earth. He spends the entire film trying to finish off these survivors, but complications arise when the Robot Monster becomes confused once it learns more about humans and falls for the young woman in the group. Love that bubble machine! Also known as Monster From Mars and Monsters From the Moon.

    Monster Robot Reviews:
Not bad meaning good, but bad meaning bad 5 Star Review
2009-03-01 - This movie brings back memories of college nights when me and my guests were less discriminating over the quality of the rentals we would pursue at the video store. Robot Monster was one of the worst films I have ever seen, possibly ranked close to Plan 9 from Outer Space. The horrible costuming of the alien, the diving helmet and gorilla suit, is so bad, it has become iconic, a symbol of an era gone by when 50's monster films could be played as substitutes for stomach pumps.
Do not think the sheer mockery of this film makes it unworthy to own. It is a true gem with respect to the genre of bad cult films, a model in what not to do in the film industry. I never laughed as hard at any film for such a ridiculous plot, horrible acting, and low budget special effects. I was hoping this would eventually make its way to DVD.
Don't even concern yourself with the plot, watching this movie may cause drowsiness, but if you fall asleep, you will miss the horrible edits, the implausible situations, the plot holes, and countless other gaffes. If you enjoy Ed Wood films, this will be a true classic.

Dyslexic is listing the 5 Star Review
2009-02-27 - As is obvious from looking at the box (not to mention the director, cast list and plot synopsis), this is, of course, the original ROBOT MONSTER, not MONSTER ROBOT. An all-time classic whose initial reviews prompted the director to attempt suicide.
