Starring most of the club kids in Hollywood, The Boys and Girls Guide to Hollywood is an outrageous story blended with a how to guide to enjoy a truly insane party lifestyle. The film follows a group of Hollywood party-goers on their escapade as they travel from home to bar to party to after-party seeking the ultimate party experience. Through their adventure, viewers will learn truly insightful and at times politically incorrect lessons in nightlife etiquette, which will leave you feeling a bit dirty for enjoying it so much.

Great Docu-drama 
2009-09-14 - After seeing only half of this docu-drama on Showtime one night, I decided to buy it! Its well worth a watch if you're open minded and willing to take the coke glorification with a grain of salt. :p Its a fun movie to watch with a bunch of friends on a chill evening, so long as no one takes it too seriously. I have an inkling that someone somewhere would look at this as a serious guide as opposed to a comical view of Gen-Y.
The DVD arrived within a 5 day week, and it works, so I have nothing to complain about.

2009-01-06 - The first time I saw this movie was on HBO or something and immediately fell in love. It goes through night life perfectly and remains humorous and knowledgeable throughout the film. If given the opportunity, I would have the producers pay me only for room and board as I traveled to major universities around the U.S. in order to promote the film. Just having a showing at each sorority or frat would sell numerous copies and probably make a decent amount of money.
Very funny movie
2008-12-17 - I stumbled across this movie one night on cable, and couldn't believe I hadn't heard of it. Sober or not, this movie is funny, but being drunk or stoned certainly won't hurt anything. I love how they break drugs down into "fun" drugs and "sketchy" drugs. You also gotta love that guys cell phone.

2008-06-23 - I just saw this the other night and cannot tell you how good it is. For anyone growing up in Los Angeles, this is a definitive watch!
Party Like There's No Tomorrow 
2007-10-12 - This is the kind of edgy and original independent film I like to find when I rent something I've never heard of. It's a very funny and unapologetically hedonistic guide to partying in the bars, clubs and private parties of Hollywood. Done in a mock documentary style, the narrators use the absurdly serious and pedantic tone of educational movies shown in schools -the kind that warn against the very kind of behavior shown in this movie.
This movie is done as a "how to" guide to surviving a nightlife of drinking, drug use and casual sex. Needless to say, if a humorous approach to these subjects, along with lots of bad language, is something that offends you, you should not see this film. There are sequences showing a bouncer school, where the bouncer trainees learn how to look properly menacing, a lesson in the etiquette of passing around marijuana joints, and tips on how to sneak into invitation-only events. This is not a profoundly meaningful film, nor an illustration of the most responsible way to live your life on a regular basis, but it's an honest and hilarious study of the subculture of serious partiers.
