Even with the astonishing success of Colombian rock star Shakira's 1996 breakthrough Pies Descalzos, the release of this remix set merely a year later seems premature. Still, it is notable for a few reasons. Shakira's edgy, pleading delivery on the tracks "Estoy Aqui," "Un Poco de Amor," and "Donde Estas Corazon" translates well for the dance market. Remixers Meme, Pablo Flores, and Javier Garza surround the singer with pulsing glitter-ball rhythms that play up the desperate lovelorn lyrics. The Remixes also includes Portuguese versions of a few songs to appease Shakira's ever-expanding global audience; she handles the translations well. This is a nice gem for ardent fans and club bunnies, but it would have been smarter to wait until after the release of Shakira's second full-length, Donde Estan Los Ladrones, to allow for a wider selection of material. --Joey Guerra

2007-08-07 - useless to explain for those who aren't fans of shakira. if you are then you need to have this cd in your collection. Songs are calm and relaxed,they invite to imagine what must be barranquilla moderna.
The cd art is excellent and the print on the cd itself is unique! a must have for the fans yeah!

2005-01-29 - I like this CD.All the CD.I recommend it so much.Especially if you like Shakira and you like remixes, you will love it.
Great Remixes - it could have had more songs 
2004-06-28 - This remix CD is great to dance to or even just to listen to. The only thing that isn't so great about it is that its just "Estoy Aqui," "Pies Descalzos, Suenos Blancos," "Un Poco de Amor," and "Donde Estas Corazon." Don't get me wrong, there great songs! I just think she should have waited a little longer before putting out a remix album.
On the plus side:
1) You DO get great remixes of the four songs.
2) You get 3 of them in portuguese. Its cool to hear her songs in different languages. English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic...
I'd reccomend this album to only those who want to have every Shakira CD alive (otherwise known as the die-hard Shakira fan) or if the four songs on the album are your absolute favorite ones. For any others buy another Shakira CD, you could get better for your money.
