Editorial Review:
The come-from-nowhere success of Shania Twain's previous album, The Woman in Me, proved that the world was ready for a combination of traditional instruments, girl-power themes, and dance-pop dynamics. Whether Twain is a modern-day Dolly Parton or a country music Spice Girl is a matter of perspective; on Come on Over, she accentuates the sing-along choruses and simple dance rhythms while downplaying the country elements. As a pop move, it works wonderfully for Twain, earning her a valued spot on MTV, VH1, and pop radio. The emphasis is on fun rather than depth, of course, but no one can accuse her of being stingy: she and her producer/husband, slick-rock king Robert "Mutt" Lange (Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, AC/DC), load down the album with 16 songs, all of them quite radio-friendly. This U.S. issue of the "international version" pushes the record's many hit singles even further toward pop with a slate of remixes. --Michael McCall

Come On Over - International Version Reviews:
Girly or Not, I Really Like This Record 5 Star Review
2007-06-05 - Shania Twain's album Come On Over is best yet. At least I think so. No matter what you listen to -- rock, blues, R & B, Jazz, whatever -- this is an album you're sure to enjoy, even though it's exceptionally girly, but what can I say, she's a wonderful singer and she really shows what a girl can do. This album can get you syked and pumped for any and everything and match any of your moods. Women go through many different experiences and these songs really nail them.

Best-selling album by a female artist!!! Record-breaking! 5 Star Review
2006-06-13 - This is simply a must-have album in your CD collection. It has everything!
1) great music
2) great singer
3) good lyrics
4) unforgettable songs
5) record-breaking sales...
BUY IT!

disappointed with International Version 2 Star Review
2006-02-23 - I was expecting it to have a lot of International type music to it but it virtually sounded the same as the original. I think I may have mistaken this cd title for another of Shania's. Her music is great but I don't see a difference with the international version.

I LOVE YOU!! 5 Star Review
2006-02-15 - YOU ARE SO COOL! YOUR CDS ROCK!!! YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL GIRL BECAUSE YOUR MUSIC IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
