Duality Reviews:
Kick-ass track from Slipknot
2005-12-15 - Love em or hate em, Slipknot has always blended heavy guitar playing with screaming. And even though this is in "Duality", it is not so much... should I say... noticed. The song is a classic, no-dubt. There is talking in the middle, screaming for the chorus, and great guitar playing. Overall, Slipknot, who I dont care much for, has released a classic single in "Duality". I would recommend going and downloading the single somewhere else instead of buying the single, or just get "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses".
As for the other two songs, one is a b-side and the other is a live track. Both these songs are not worth the 12.99 they are charging you for the single, so dont even bother buying this. You could probably also download them online for a grand total of 3.00. Big spending! Even though the two other songs suck, "Duality" is a classic nontheless.
DISAPOINTED
2005-11-25 - TOO MUCH FOR 3 SONGS U MIGHT AS WELL BUY VOL 3 THE SUBLIMINAL VERSES THEN GO ONTO ITUNES AND BUY THE THIRD SONG FOR A BUCK. THAT WOULD COST WAY LESS
THE SONGS ARE GOOD THOUGH
JUST A WASTE OF TIME
Slipknots' Volume 3 (The Subliminal Versus): A Classic
2004-06-28 - Usualy, when you think of Slipknot, you think of hard chatchy songs. But this album covers so much more. This is what makes the album truly amazing, you have songs like "Opium Of The People" that are absolutely amazing and hard to play. You have your songs like "Pulse Of The Maggots" in which you have a whole lot of Shredding going on. You have your Rock Rap with the song "The Nameless". You have your Soft, Melodic Pop/Folk(believe it or not) songs like "Vermilion Part 2" with nothing more than an Acoustic guitar, Acoustic Bass, Chello and Soft, Sweet, Pop Like Vocals. But Old Skool Slipknot fans arn't to be dissapointed, there are still hard chachy tunes on this Album, one of them their new single "Duality". Yep, this album has everything, it's damn KICKASS.

tracklisting
2004-06-01 - the tracklisting for this cd is
1) Duality
2) Don't Get Close
3) Duality Video (Directors Cut)
I believe that's it but I might be wrong. Check out metabolic666.com to make sure. Anyway "Duality" kicks ass. It took me a while to get used to because their new sound kinda sounds too Stone Sour-ish. But after listening to the new album a couple of times I got used to it, and now I'm actually kinda glad they changed their sound because it keeps things fresh and there wasn't much more they could do with their old style of playing. It would have just gotten old really quick. But yeah "Duality" is a great song and I'm a hardcore Slipknot fan so I will be getting this CD just for "Don't Get Close". That song isn't all the great, but who cares.. it's Slipknot. Haha.
