darn fine single! 
2007-06-12 - i first came to love sophie ellis-bextor back in 1997 when she fronted the great, but shortlived, theaudience. she was a wee 18 years old back then, but she already had that very distinctive voice: breathy, sultry, and decidedly english. in other words, it's perfect.
'catch you' is an absolute riot -- in every single positive way imaginable. it's a perfect slice of europop. it's catchy, danceable, energetic. it's kylie on speed. it's maybe THE dance floor anthem of 2007.
but behind the glistening production is an quasi-stalkerish song. but anyone who's seen sophie would be hard pressed to file a restraining order! (she's that beautiful). 'catch you' may, in fact, be more of a mandate to those who've yet to fall under her spell. resistance is futile.
in the case of sophie ellis-bextor, her love has caught me indeed! did i mention she's a stone cold fox? check out the video on youtube and press pause at the 2:07 mark -- that's the money shot.
the rest of album, while not quite as great, is still a gem. seek it out.

2007-03-17 - Catch You is the latest single from Sophie's new and upcoming album. This UK artist has superb vocals and her latest song "Catch You" is guaranteed to catch your attention. Can't wait for the extended/club versions to come out. This song will be an absolute hit in the 2007 dance scene.
