Mama/Who Do You Think You Are [UK CD1] Reviews:
Excellent Spice 5 Star Review
2007-10-21 - Yet another great single from The Spice Girls. They had a string of hits from 1997 to 2000.Its amazing how many hits they had in such a short period of time. This is another i often listen to.They weren't around for very long, but they did produce some classic songs.

OKAY ENDING SINGLE TO SPICE 3 Star Review
2001-04-16 - This double A-Side single is the last from the Spice Girls' smash hit debut album "Spice." The songs are pretty good and they hit #1 on the UK charts for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, the sales speak more for the single than the actual songs can sing for themselves. Whereas songs like "Wannabe" and "2 Become 1" were very addictive, the Spice from this single wears away pretty quickly. Let's have a synopsis of the single, shall we?

1) MAMA (RADIO VERSION)- This sweet sounding song dedicated to mothers around the world is flavored slightly with R&B, but is more of a pop ballad. On the single, this track is more tolerable than it is on the album since the radio edit is almost a minute and a half shorter than the album version and doesn't get so boring.

2) WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE (RADIO VERSION)- This pop dance song is very catchy and adds a bit of that addictiveness that is present in many tracks from "Spice." After a while, the beat gets boring and the whole song soon gets forgotten. The vocals are okay, but the lyrics are not as catchy.

3) BABY COME ROUND- The exclusive B-Side of this single is flavored with a very R&Bish sound, and Mel B does a catchy rap bit in the middle. Mel C provides strong and sweet vocals. This song is good, but doesn't match up to the quality of some of the previous B-Sides.

4) MAMA (BIFFCO MIX)- This remix of "Mama" adds a bit of flavor to the boring beat of the original song. It doesn't mix it up to be dance or uptempo at all, but it enhances the boring guitar/violin sound of "Mama." All in all, "Mama" never brought out a remix to truly redeem itself.

This single is okay, but if you're looking for an early single by the Spice Girls, one like "Wannabe" or "Say You'll Be There" stands out to be a more substantial choice.

Four Great Songs On One Single! 5 Star Review
2000-03-20 - I really likr the song 'Mama'. It's a really nice song dedicated to our mothers because as much as we may hate admitting it...they do help us in everything we do somehow. The remix is sooo good too. 'Who Do You Think You Are?' is a great song too and I know almost all of the moves to it. I learned them from the Brits (HeHe) 'Baby Come Round' is a very good b-side too. It's one of my favorites. I just wish it was released in the US becuase I had to pay like $10 more here than I would have at Camelot or something. OH well. I got the single either ways didn't I?

It's good but S club 7's new single is better 4 Star Review
2000-01-11 - S club 7 has better songs then the spice girls. But anyway this song is good. Who do you think you are? are a great song. It should have been the a side and Who do you think you are the single. Great.

Oh! Mother! 5 Star Review
1999-06-02 - OH! MOTHER!This is the first really new thing to appear since the emergence of rap and the best BAND since the Beatles.
