Editorial Review:
For those munchkins with their ears permanently tuned to Radio Disney, Holiday Jams should not disappoint, though it may not send any sugarplums through their heads. Aimed, it seems, at both kids under 10 as well as their boomer parents, the disc features time-worn classics such as Bobby Helms's "Jingle Bell Rock," the Beach Boys' "Little Saint Nick," Alvin & the Chipmunks' "The Chipmunk Son (Christmas Don't Be Late)," Burl Ives's "Holly Jolly Christmas," and others. More contemporary pieces include the Spice Girls' "Sleigh Ride" and Shedaisy's "Deck the Halls," along with chart rulers 'N Sync in a throwaway number called "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays." The Spice Girls remain fairly faithful to "Sleigh Ride," and throughout the album songs are introduced with greetings from Disney's cloying and occasionally annoying DJs. Like the radio programming itself, Holiday Jams is ultimately a slick, well-packaged collection. --Martin Keller
Radio Disney Holiday Jams Reviews:
The Best Christmas Album Ever
2005-12-23 - I usually don't like anything that Disney puts its name on. If its a CD, it means that hilary duff, jesse, raven, aaron, aly/aj or something will be on it. So when we ordered this, I thought it would be trash.
But it had ShEdAiSy's deck the halls, which is a favorite, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, NSYNC(which is actually okay) and NO hilary duff! We also got Jingle Jams and it wasn't as good as this CD. So if you want to buy a disney holiday album, buy this one!
Fun to listen to
2002-11-03 - Sometimes I pull out this CD in the middle of the summer to bring me back to the most special time of the year. I really like SHeDAISY's "Deck the Halls" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee. "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" is still funny every time I hear it. It's good that this is a mix of holiday classics and newer artists too!
A Christmas Wonder
2002-08-28 - This CD totally brings the holiday spirt out in ages young to old! Celebrate this year with these timeless songs!
Go, Myra, Go!
2001-07-30 - This is a very good Christmas CD! The best song has to be Myra's "Frosty the Snowman." If you enjoyed this song, be sure to pick up her CD called, "Myra."
A Wonderful Holiday Treat
2000-12-02 - Great Christmas Music for all ages. Great selection of songs and musicians all on one CD!
