Viva Forever [UK CD1] Reviews:
SPICE GIRLS FOREVER 5 Star Review
2009-09-26 - Spice Girls Came Back hotter than ever,This is one of my favorite songs and the Remix is Just Awesome all Spice Girls Fans Should have this Single!!!!!!!! Viva Forever SPICE GIRLS!!

Spice This Spice That 5 Star Review
2008-04-14 - Yet another great single from The Spice Girls. They had a string of hits from 1997 to 2000.Its amazing how many hits they had in such a short period of time. This is another i often listen to.They weren't around for very long, but they did produce some classic songs. This is another stand out song.

Nice Ballad 5 Star Review
2005-06-12 - This is my favorite ballad from the Spice Girls! It's so relaxing. Here's what I think of the songs on the single:

1. Viva Forever- I like this version better than the album version because its shorter by 1 minute. This is and amazing song.
2. Viva Forever (Tony Rich Remix)- This remix defeats the purpose of the song but overall, I liked the remix.
3. Viva Forever (Tony Rich Instrumental)- This made no sense to me to make an instrumental of the remix but once you get to know the remix, its fun to sing along to.
4. Interactive Video- The pictures really made me depressed because you could see in Geri's face that she was ready to leave. The video was not what I expected. I wanted the real Spice Girls to be in it, not the spice fairies. Maybe they couldn't do it with the real spices because ginger wasn't there.

Beautiful 5 Star Review
2004-05-26 - Yes, "Viva Forever" is beautiful. It was a great last single with Geri - I know she doesn't sing a main part on it, but it was billed as the last song with her (and she's on the cover).
Track rundown:

1. Viva Forever (5/5)
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. This is the best Spice ballad ever (tied with Goodbye). Emma, Victoria, Mel B and Mel C all have a chance to sing on this song. The song opens with gorgeous Spanish sounding guitar, and then Emma takes charge, singing verse one in her lovely voice. "Hasta Manana" is mentioned in the bridge - a Spanish influence is definitely seen here. The chorus is great - full of feeling, and the girls sound amazing. The song has fantastic lyrics. In verse two, Mel B sings, her husky voice bringing a sexy feel to the song. Mel C is next, her voice is definitely cut out for ballads! Victoria sings the middle eight, and gives her few lines her all. The song is five minutes long, but keeps your attention. Mel C has backing vocals over the 5 or so choruses at the end, and then Mel B does the best bit of the entire song - the chorus again by herself - she sounds AMAZING. This was the best song off Spiceworld.
2. Viva Forever (Tony Rich Remix) (5/5)
This is a very funky remix - I didn't think it was possible to remix a ballad like this. But they do - a unknown rapper does his thing at the beginning, rapping about how the Spice Girls will live on, and mentions Viva Forever a few times. Then the original vocals of the song kick in. It's basically Viva Forever with different music - more RnBish music. It's great.
3. Viva Forever (Tony Rich Instrumental) (4/5)
This is kind of pointless. I'd rather have a remix of the original song, not the remix. But anyway this shows the remix really is funky, with the music played without vocals.

Cover Art - The cover features the Spice fairies from the video. I have to say they scare me slightly. They don't look like the Spices, and it's kind of freaky - especially Mel C.

Overall, this is a gorgeous song that ended the era of 5 Spices in the group. A must buy if you liked the Spice Girls.
