Editorial Review:
A genre-bending sonic onslaught, this disc is not for the faint-hearted. Static-X skillfully blend angry staccato guitar, dark metallic noise, and mutating synthesizer washes to construct an ominous (though occasionally humorous) wall of sound. Lead vocalist Wayne Static's high-energy delivery alternates from whisper to roar on tracks such as "Bled for Days" and "I Am," and he often uses his voice as a potent rhythmic sound effect, as on "Push It" and "Sweat of the Bud." Tony Campos's distorted bass riffs and drummer Ken Jay's confident beats add a human feel to the mechanical rhythms, adroitly creating the tight grooves of "Otsegolation" and "Fix," as well as the rigid swing in "Stem." Wayne Static and Koichi Fukuda skillfully combine guitars and keyboards on "The Trance Is the Motion" to produce crashing waves of sound, while their programming on "December" results in a more subdued piece to close the album. --Mark McCleerey
Wisconsin Death Trip Reviews:
A Pneumatic-Powered Industrial Nu Metal Masterwork!
2009-12-01 - If you do not have this album in your collection yet, what are you waiting for? Get it! If I were to do a top 50 Must-Own Albums list, this one would rank high on it. It is that good. To describe it is hard, but, it's Industrial Nu Metal comprised of a lot of elements including high-powered chords and blistering riffs, to searing super-successive percussions, and sporadic bits of synth sounds and samples, to it's diverse vocals from lead singer/screamer, Wayne Static, and it all adds up to awesome. I really cannot say enough good things about this album, really. One listen to it and you will be hooked, guaranteed. Get up on this Wisconsin Death Trip!
Standout tracks are I'm With Stupid, Love Dump, Sweat of the Bud, Wisconsin Death Trip, and The Trance is the Motion.
Trance-core, evil disco, it's all good
2009-06-30 - Always a fan of metal, hearing Static-X's industrial metal base combined with the unbelievably soothing yet trippy ambient synth sound on songs like "Stem," "Sweat of the Bud" and "December" makes for a great-sounding disc. Of course, that's not the case on every song, as their characteristic evil disco on songs like "Push It" and "The Trance is the Motion" is heard instead. Far and away their best album; maybe Static and co. should reference this if and when they release their next album in 2011.
Amazing PERIOD
2008-08-23 - Amazing not one bad thing about this album. Great variety, it's different from anything out right now, heavy sounds with a side of industrial makes it that much better. Best X album there is. I highly suggest you buy it.

Tuna Mint Jello Drop Dead Banana Fish!
2008-08-21 - (Listen to the song "Fix" and it sounds like he's saying that, the title for this review that is.)
Ok, I got into this band through the game "Need For Speed Underground" The song on the game is "Skinnyman" (which is on the album "Start a War") And I really liked the song a-lot. So I decided to get their first album, being this one, and I really enjoy this album A-LOT!! I own all their cd's, and this is far their best one IMO. The crazy vocals of Wayne Static at its best in this CD. The riffs may not be the most complex, but they still don't leave you bored. The vocals fit perfectly with the music, best to describe is very chaotic. My favorite songs are "I'm With Stupid" "Fix" "I Am" "Sweat of the Bud" "The Trance Is The Motion" and "Push It" If you're just getting into Static-X, I recommend checking out this CD first, I think it's their heaviest and more enjoyable CD to listen to! 5 Stars!
Awesome Album
2008-07-20 - If your new to Static X, I recommend getting this cd. I love every song on it, listen to it all the time. This is by far my favorite album from Static X.
