  • Editorial Review:
A killer party you won't forget! "Night of the Living Dead" meets "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (with a stop-over for "Rock 'n' Roll High School") in this spoof of teenage monster movies, delinquency dramas, sports movies, and a brace of other film genres. When a group of high school underachievers get some bad weed from a dealer named Mussolini (Steve McCoy), the dealer dies and gets dumped in a river contaminated by nuclear waste. Quicker than you can say Three Mile Island, Mussolini is back, green-skinned and super-strong, killing the kids who did him in, ripping them apart one by one. "I Was a Teenage Zombie" is a genre-twister of a movie--one part teen exploitation flick, one part monster movie, and one part lunkhead comedy--the midnight movie to end them all!

I Was a Teenage Zombie Reviews:
Funny In A Dumb Way 5 Star Review
2009-07-09 - I remember the first time I saw this when I was little I thought it was a good movie but of course I always loved those cheesy horror flicks and my mom would get so mad at me for watching it cause of some sexual activity going on and she thought I was too young for that.
So for years and years I never got to watch it again til it came on t.v. one night and I watched it and relived alot of good memories from watching it before and this time I didn't watch it around my mom and even though I am old enough to watch stuff like that she still gets a bit upset with me.

"WHO SAID THAT"? 4 Star Review
2008-02-16 - This movie was pretty good.I'm a big fan of the 80's horror/slasher movies, but then again I like to watch a funny 80's horror movie here & there. But any ways to sum it all up.THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE.

DESERVES AN 18TH ANNIVERSARY DVD SPECIAL EDITITON 5 Star Review
2006-03-25 - THE YEAR IS 2006 AND IT'S TURNING 18-OLD-YEARS THIS YEAR SINCE IT WAS MADE IN 1987 AND IT DESERVES TO BE RE-RELEASED ON DVD WITH TONS OF SPECIAL FEATURES INCLUDING COMMENTARIES(ESP.A DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY SINCE HE QUIT DIRECTING AND BECAME A MONK AFTERWARDS),DELETED SCENES,INTERVIEWS WITH MAINLY EVERY SINGLE ACTOR THAT APPEARED IN THE MOVIE,TRAILERS,MAKING OF FEATURETTE,AND TONS OF OTHER GREAT STUFF. THE MOVIE IS AN ABSOLUTELY CLASSIC INDIE FLICK THAT WAS VERY FUNNY AND MADE THE WAY IT WANTED IT TO BE MADE,EVEN IF THE BUDGET WAS LOW AND THE ACTING STUNK. PLEASE CRITERION,ANCHOR BAY,OR SYNAPSE RELEASE A GOOD DVD OF THIS CLASSIC MOVIE. ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND I WATCHED AND RECORDED IT EVERYTIME IT WAS ON IFC AND RENTED IT AT SOME VIDEO STORE.

    PS:
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE BUDGET WAS FOR THIS MOVIE AND WHERE IT WAS FILMED,I THINK IT WAS FILMED IN SAN FRANCISCO OR HOUSTON.

    PSSSSS:
IS THERE A WAY WE CAN RE-RELEASE THE OLD CD OR CASSETTE OF THE SONGS IN THE MOVIE. I LOVED THE SONGS IN THIS FILM AND IT WOULD BE COOL TO HEAR THEM AGAIN. MY FAVORITE SONG WAS THE ONE SUNG BY THE FLESHTONES THAT WENT "I WAS A TEENAGE ZOMBIE".

FUNNY AS HELL! 5 Star Review
2006-03-12 - This movie looks like it was filmed with a camcorder! I didn't realize, when I purchased this DVD, that it was going to be a total amateurish delight! I mean the editing is even horrible, the sound doesn't match up! The acting is atrocious! The storyline is pathetic! I LOVE IT! There's a scene where the Hispanic, zombie, drug-dealer rapes a hapless teenage girl to death! He breaks her body in half and all she says is "You can't do thaaaaaaaaaat!" In another hilarious scene a cop, who is hot on the trial of the zombie drug peddler, gets punched in the forehead and sort of has a 2 second delayed reaction to the pain. Then he falls backward and screams like a dying duck! Oh, I'm telling you buy this movie! If you love watching horrible actors not totally devoted to their parts, this one is for you!

HALARIOUS! ONE OF MY NEW HORROR FAVES!!! 5 Star Review
2005-07-13 - I was a teenage zombie...when i purchased this movie i didn't know what to expect...I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED, the movie is funny and it has mild gore (due to image entertainment's editing crew). I would highly recommend buying this movie if you have some extra cash, if u like movies like Evil Dead 2, Bad Taste, or Evil Ed this is definatly one to put in your collection. Anyways to let you know all horror films i've bought that image entertainment has released has cut out a lot of the gore scenes. I probably would next expect to see this movie re-released by a different company due to lack of popularity and peoples lack of humor.
