When a star soccer coach is murdered and his priceless Pink Panther diamond stolen, France is in an uproar. Fortunately, Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin, Bowfinger, Cheaper by the Dozen) is on the case. He doesn't have a clue, but for Clouseau, that's just a minor detail. With his partner, Gilbert Ponton (Jean Reno, The Da Vinci Code, The Professional), he careens from one misadventure to the next, leaving mayhem in his wake from the boulevards of Paris to the streets of New York. Will he seduce the pop diva, Xania (Beyoncé, Austin Powers: Goldmember)? Will he push Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Oscar(r) winner Kevin Kline, 1988 Best Supporting Actor, A Fish Called Wanda) over the edge? Will he catch the killer and recover the diamond? 2009-12-08 - I'm not going to talk about the movie at all, this review is mainly for the quality of the blu ray version. I have watched this movie numerous times on standard DVD, the picture of the blue ray has more sharpness than the SDVD, the brighter colors are more vibrant, but the darker colors, and especially the blacks are kind of smudgy in places. Sound is excellent on the blu ray. If you're trying to decide between the two versions for your initial purchase, buy the blu ray. But I would hesitate to upgrade to the blu ray if you already own the SDVD unless you're a big fan of the movie.

Simply hilarious
2009-09-13 - I have watched both Steve Martin pink panthers. This is better but I can not compare with earlier ones. Yet to watch them but did buy the 5 disk animated series. Kids enjoy it.

The additional features like director's commentary and animated inserts are great for reruns.

2009-02-24 - If you love Steve Martin or Peter Sellers, you will WANT to have this movie!!!
Only Steve Martin could have done Sellers justice.
And of course Blu-Ray is fantastic.
