Compact Selection of Great Early Hits from the Former Boy Wonder of the Keyboard and Resident Genius of Berry Gordy's Motown Records.

Description of Stevie Wonder - The Definitive Collection:
Like the Beatles' The Beatles 1, this rundown of Stevie Wonder chestnuts is merciless in cutting a huge list of classic tracks down to a single disc's worth of the most recognizable. Anyone who's treasured even one or two of these songs and yet never bought a Wonder record will be more than pleased with the acquisition of The Definitive Collection. These records continue to ring with importance and history, but more important, all except two or three remain fresh and capable of surprising even veteran fans. Those listeners may note, though, that Wonder is among the few performers who could release a retrospective containing 15 No. 1 R&B hits and still invite the complaint that the album felt incomplete--not least in explaining how the man transformed himself from a multitalented teenage hitmaker into the funk-pop visionary of Talking Book, Innervisions, and Songs in the Key of Life. --Rickey Wright

Stevie Wonder - The Definitive Collection Reviews:

2009-07-15 - This cd was in good conditon. Just outside cover was alil cracked, but other than that it was great. I got it in mail very fast.

If you like Stevie, you'll enjoy this collection 5 Star Review
2009-07-07 - This collection has so many good songs by Stevie Wonder that I almost don't know where to start. Even some of the ones that I thought I didn't know of sounded familiar once I heard them again. The nice thing about an album like this is that it brings back so many memories. Where were you when Fingertips Part 2 first came out? Or Superstition? Or For Once in My Life? The song Overjoyed always reminds me of the beach and of summer, maybe because of the reference to castles and that background sound that's kind of like water. It makes me think of building sand castles, hence water and the beach.

I Just Called to Say I Love You reminds me of a time when I had been doing too much traveling for work and heard it while driving in the rental car up in B.C. and thought of my husband back at home. Signed, Sealed and Delivered reminds me of a fun party and all the friends that were there, some that I don't see often enough anymore. It's funny how each of the songs brings back another time and place. I guess that's why I like collections of music by artists that I enjoy. This one will not diappoint.
