Editorial Review:
Yoga for the Young at Heart introduces older adults to accessible yoga. Through yoga, you can create health, strength, flexibility, and a sense of inner serenity.
Especially for seniors and less flexible beginners over 50, these gentle stretching exercises inspire and support increased vitality, strength and flexibility. This "flowing yoga" class links the poses together in a continuous sequence that allows the student to access poses gently and naturally.
An encouraging class of students ranging in age from 45 to 82 will inspire you! In a soothing voice, Susan guides the class with specific directions for moving in and out of the poses, as well as controlled breathing. Relaxing music accompanies the class and sets the mood for this motivational video to inspire beginning yoga students to achieve a stronger body and more peaceful mind.

2009-06-26 - I feel that this dvd is a great dvd for a beginning senior or someone that has not done a lot of yoga before. It is very gentle and does not rush you. Great for working on getting the poses correct.
Perfect for beginning yoga
2008-08-27 - I was looking for a yoga program my 68-year-old mother could start. She has balance issues and, like most of us, needs work on flexibility and strength. This is the perfect CD for her and for anyone beginning yoga. I'm keeping a copy to use myself (great stretching and some strengthing and balance for a 41-year old), and recommending it to my Mom.
excellent for beginners
2008-02-15 - I'm new to yoga and this CD allowed me to practice poses at my own speed until I could master them well enough to put them into a routine. I found it very helpful and nice to see less than perfect bodies participating in yoga
