2008-07-26 - Awesome, a must have for all you aging Gen-Xers that grew up watching this on cable!
THE BEASTMASTER
2008-05-02 - 'THE BEASTMASTER'IS AN ENJOYABLE FANTASY STORY CENTRED ON A MAN WHO HAS AN AFFINITY WITH WILD ANIMALS.
THERE ARE MacBETH STYLE WITCHES, PAGAN HUMAN SACRIFICIAL WORSHIP, SAVAGE CLAN WARFARE.....ALL THE GOOD STUFF.
Awesome!
2008-03-26 - If you haven't seen this, you need to. If you have seen it, you probably already own a copy.
Cheesy but fun - really should be PG-13
2008-03-21 - I remembered watching this movie as a little girl, and loving all of the animals and sword fighting. Recently I rented it for my little boys... forgetting that it was made prior to the pg-13 rating. This is NOT a PG movie. True there was little in the way of language or slasher type blood and guts, but their eyes about popped out of their heads when the nude scenes that I did not recall occured. As far as the movie itself... bad acting, bad script, a whole lot of Marc Singer standing on top of a mountain swinging around a sword like a 4 year old with a stick. There really isn't all that much of a plot (did anyone else catch that he's now dating his cousin??? What screenwriter came up with that one??). But I have to admit, that it's a bunch of fun to watch, especially the critters. Would I spend $[...] to buy it? No.. will I watch it if it comes on USA, of course.
