Editorial Review:
Fearless is the 2008 sophomore album from Taylor Swift, the young Country singer/songwriter who charmed the hearts and charts of America beginning with her debut single 'Tim McGraw'. Her triple-platinum self-titled debut release has scanned over 3.4 million units and spent more weeks at #1 than any other Country album this year: 24 weeks! Taylor is the only Country female artist to have five Top 10 singles from a debut album and the only Country female vocalist this decade to reach the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Needless to say, she's a sensation that has only just begun to show what she is capable of. 13 tracks including the single 'Love Story' and 'Change', first heard during the 2008 Summer Olympics. --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.
Fearless Reviews:
Great girly pop country.
2009-11-10 - This generation's Shania Twain has blue eyes and curly blonde hair.
Best songs: Fearless, Love Story, The Way I Loved You.
Taylor is okay, but she's no Kanye
2009-11-09 - This album is terrible. Kanye West's first 3 albums easily top this. Don't buy it, you will not be happy. Next time I would recommend getting Kanye to produce a track or two on your album. Then maybe it wouldn't be as bad.
This gets a -10/10 from me. Kanye West makes music for the children, this woman does not, so she fails.
Love is fearless.
2009-10-31 - "Love is fearless". That's a profound philosophical principal few people have even heard of and fewer still understand, yet through personal experience and artistic intuition, Taylor Swift has grasped it. Her songs follow that theme with utmost consistency, that only comes from intense focus. She appeals to the young and the young at heart, because they still remember what it's like to be in love.
She takes the role of the underdog, compassionate with everyone's suffering, because she's gone through it, been an outcast, she gives hope and inspiration, that the underdog can eventually triumph, if your love is strong enough. It's evident in her songs and video blogs how she loves her family, her band, friends and fans. The ugly duckling with bad hair turns into a fairy tale princess, a rock star goddess, and finds true love. Truly inspiring.
