Mexican Reviews:
Beat the Album Version Hands Down
2003-10-19 - If you've heard "Dance Dance" only from Her crappy self-titled English album, you're missing the only good song to come from it. This single includes that lousy, way-too-long version, but also a shorter, stronger version that was 100% improved. Worth the price just for that impossibly beautiful photo!
Great single Dande with Thalia
2003-04-24 - It is great. I love it is one of the best singles ever now I know how without any promotion in U.S Thalia has been in Billboard so many times. Great Single Highly recommended
This single is copyprotected - Don't buy it!
2003-04-14 - Copyprotected CDs may not work correctly on your CD-player or they might even damage your CD-player. Let the record companies know what customers think about copycontrolled CDs - Don't buy this CD and don't support copycontrol!
Thalia is a wonderful artist and I love this song. I didn't buy this single because it was copyprotected.
Excellent CD single from Thalia!
2003-04-09 - First off, let me let you know that all 5 versions of THE MEXICAN on here are English.
The HEX HECTOR/MAC QUALYE RADIO REMIX is the exact same remix of The Mexican that is on Thalia's Hits Remixed CD except this is the English one. The best track on this disc. In fact, the best version of this song period. 3:29
The RICKY CRESPO DANCE RADIO EDIT is a killer remix. Really makes you want to get up and dance, just like the original and the radio remix, only it's a little more earthy than the typical remix. Great remix any way you look at it. 3:45
The CLUB VOCAL MIX is the full version that the RADIO REMIX is adapted from. Since it lingers on like a full club mix is supposed to I don't like it as much, but it is an excellent club track. You'll really sweat it up to this. 8:48
The ALTERBOY REMIX is pretty good, an odd remix of the track. There are a few acapella spots near the beginning which make you feel like you're running and then coming to a sudden stop. They soon go and what you have is an excellent remix. For anyone that's dissapointed that there's no Thunderpuss Mixes of The Mexican, let me tell you this is practically the Thunderpuss Remix of the track. It very Thunderpuss-like. Great outro, by the way.
LP Version-If you haven't heard this, the standard version of The Mexican, then you haven't purchased the THALIA album from 2002 it comes from. Buy this single along with it. Right now.
For a dedicated fan of Thalia's, I was still skeptical whether or not to spend 13.00 on an Import single with remixes I had no way of sampling, but I knew I had to buy it and I knew I'd like it. Well, I love it. All you Thalia fans that have read this review, you know what to do: Treat yourself to this CD. It's for you.
Dance, dance, I can't control it!
2003-03-04 - Amazing remixes for an amazing song. Remake of early 70's Babe Ruth song, "Dance Dance (The Mexican)" (non-Marc Anthony vocals like spanish version) brings past to present, but the new lyrics and arranges make it unique. With a flawless english, Thalia has all to be the new latin pop diva to conquer United States. No more Shakira, no more Paulina.
"Hex Hector/Mac Quayle Club Vocal Mix" -single that reach #8 position on Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play Chart- is an explosion of sounds, energy and good vibe which make move you until end. This maxi also includes "HQ2 Radio Remix", "Ricky Crespo Dance Radio Edit", "Alterboy Remix" and "Album Version".
Definitively, with these remixes "I can be your slave and dance all night if you demand..."
THALIA RULES!!
