Coming to America / Norbit Reviews: 3+ (the plus is for Murphy) 2008-05-02 - I can't believe the reviews here. It's true Norbit was not classic Eddie Murphy but it is mildly entertaining. The trouble with a comedic brilliance is that once you've reached the top, everyone expects every word to be hilarious. It must be impossible to continue working when everything you do is tainted by what you've done. This is a slick made for money and gimic type movie but Eddie's Work in it is fantastic is dumbed down by the script.
In the age of reality tv, I'm happy that they are still offerings like this.
I found it more entertaining that I did Coming to America.
This movie was bored!!! 2008-03-10 - This movie was bored and I watched whole movie some misunderstand it. Also the story was bad and some scenes was fun, however it isn't good as other movies. Just I saw one time.
Abuse is never funny 2007-09-16 - This is a really poor attempt at trying to make a very hurtful and painful subject matter funny. It doesn't matter who is being abused and subjegated, male or female, there is nothing funny about this. Shame on you Eddie for being insensitive enough to even think something like this would be humorous.
EDDIGOTASTIC!!! 2007-08-19 - Not funny, just a regular poorly scripted, crunch them out hollywood film staring 90% of the cast of Eddie Murphy. Oh, how I miss the days of Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America.
Only worth watching was cameo of Marlon Wayans.
Two Thumbs way down.
It is okay 2007-08-13 - It is not the best and funniest movies ever made, but can be watched once (no more).
