Also features Destiny's Child, DMX, Timbaland & Magoo, BG and others. 18 tracks. Snapper Classics. 2006.
Romeo Must Die Reviews:
This Is the EDITED Version
2008-08-05 - This is NOT the explicit or Parental Advisory version of the soundtrack. This description is inaccurate and should be corrected. While the songs are great, the edited version contains too many "hiccups" in order to edit out profanities and that interrupts the flow of the songs.
Romeo oh Romeo
2008-03-03 - This soundtrak CD is okay. There were a few songs I liked on the CD from the movie but there are some I don't care for. Typical for album purchases. It is a 50/50 shot.
Sounded better in the movie
2008-01-29 - The movie was great; the tracks went with the cinematography and amplified the imagery. By itself, I found the tracks a disappointing collection of self-absorbed wanna-be gangsta noise, not an enlightening beat or lyric to be found anywhere. If you enjoyed the movie, take the time to listen to the cuts on this CD before you buy to be sure it's what you want.
Great Soundtrack looking for a song in the movie not on the OST
2007-03-22 - I love the movie and the soundtrack, but there is this one kind of techno song that I liked allot, when jet li's brother pulls up to the night club in his Aston Martin. If anyone can help me out with this one please do.
This product's description is NOT accurate.
2007-03-19 - Amazon, and subsequently, the Marketplace sellers who offer it, need to change the way this item is listed.
There are no explicit lyrics on this UK import. These are the same edited versions of the songs that are found on the US version of the CD. So if you are expecting the unedited versions of the songs that are found in the film (as I was), you won't find them here.
I will not completely trash this review; I do love this soundtrack (hence the three stars, rather than one or two). I must admit, though, I am disappointed. I was expecting this version to deliver the same 'full-flavor' that was given to us in the film.
