Welcome to Our World Reviews:
Classic
2008-03-15 - Listening to this cd brings back so many memories. I have 2 say that this is Timbaland and Magoo's best album 2 date. It's been 10 years and this album is better than most of the music thats out now. The beats on the album are insane. Some people say the lyrics on the album are wack but i beg 2 differ. I think the lyrics are smooth and go perfectly with each and every beat. This album was definetly slept on. This is real music but most of all, CLASSIC!
Great buy
2007-07-09 - This cd is one of the best cd's I've ever heard. Timbaland's beats cant be replaced, magoo's gritty voice and timabland's hooks are great together. Mix in ginuine, missy, playa, and aaliyah...and the album is complete. My favorite songs are Man Undercover (by Aaliyah), Up jumps the Boogie Remix, Smoke In The Air (Playa) and Joy (Playa and Ginuwine.) This album is definitly worth your money. I love it!!!!!!!!
The Foundation
2007-02-27 - From the hypnotizing charm to the raw lyrics this cd is SOLID. It's got staying power and demands respect from your ears...I am SO glad I finally got my own copy!
One of Hip Hop's Most Innovative Albums...a landmark production
2005-09-11 - Back in 1997, Timbaland and Magoo came out with their classic cd, Welcome to our World. The reason that makes this one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, is the creative production. Timbaland created beats that no one has ever heard anything like before. His use of off-beat off-drum patterns alond with funky keyboards, synths and guitar licks, made this joint out of VA a straight up classic. Also, a lot of people didn't like Magoo's flow or lyrics, but Magoo is one of the most creative emcee's out there. His flow and use of creative worldplay and punchlines makes him a dangerous emcee on the mic. Alot of mc's out there couldnt touch Magoo. Great lrycism and production of a timeless classic in hip hop.
Love the 'Up Jumps' Remix...
2004-09-08 - ...actually the stripped down version of the original with a cricket chirping rhythm, a deconstructed Rod Temperton keyboard riff, an offal spouting Magoo, a sober Timbaland and a 'gone-you-don't-know-gone-you-don't-know' Missy. Partiable today. Magic still.
