Dream Walkin' Reviews:
Dream Walkin'
2009-01-26 - After buying Toby Keith's Biggest Hits album and finding a new appreciation for his older works I decided to buy one of his earlier CDs and chose 'Dream Walkin'' because it had the song 'Tired' on it which I wanted. I have found that I have fallen in love with many of Keith's songs that have not been released which can be rare for an artist sometimes and 'Dream Walkin'' did not disappoint. Apart from the songs I'd already heard, 'We Were In Love' (which is great for hearing the power in Keith's voice), 'Dream Walkin'' (my favourite Keith song), 'Tired' (which is brilliant), and his duet with Sting 'I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying', there are others that are instant hits like 'Double Wide Paradise' and 'Yet'. The more Toby albums I buy the more I fall in love with the work of this talented and diverse artist. While it probably won't be one of my favourite albums of his it is still worth having and enjoyable from track one to end.
Info 4 Ross
2006-08-01 - I have some useful info about Toby that Ross may find useful before he makes himself look like an idiot again. Toby Kieth is a registered Democrat, and opposed the iraq war. But he loves this country and our soldiers. So think the next time you label someone with a sweeping generalization.
Great Stuff
2006-06-30 - This is one of the best he has come out with. Ross Reynolds is on crack with his review. Riiiight, the chords sound just like Bittersweet. Pfffft. This is a good CD.
TOBY KEITH RIPPED OFF BIG HEAD TODD!!!
2006-06-06 - Listen to the title track on this album, and then listen to "Bittersweet", by Big Head Todd and the Monsters. It's the exact same guitar melody! But hey, by Toby Keith's standards, it's really not a bad song. Probably because he ripped off someone who actually has talent. Also, this was back before he turned into a crazy flag-waving pseudo-political pro-Bush wacko, so he didn't annoy the hell out of me quite as much back then.
But um, listen to the album "Sister Sweetly", by Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Toby thought enough of it to rip off a song from it, so you should listen to it too.
Edit for Kevin Sloan: if you really can't hear the similarities between those songs, then you are the one who is on crack. I don't know what else to tell you.
Strong Male Vocalist
2003-12-10 - Ever since Toby Keith first made his debut, his strong, sensual voice has struck a chord with country music fans the world over. In Dream Walkin', Toby displays his talent at ballads, his voice sinking to the far depths of your soul. The sadness in his voice is a testimony to the hardships he has faced throughout the years, and helps you connect on a personal level with the singer. This CD also puts on display his comedic side, with "Double Wide Paradise" and "I Don't Understand My Girlfriend"...which most of us men can surely all relate to. It's easy to see (or hear) why Toby continues climbing the charts with all his singles, and you'll gain a fuller appreciation for the spectrum he can accomplish by attaining this CD.
