"I Love This Bar," the first single, offers a kinder, gentler Keith than the boot-shoving redneck of "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)." But as he segues to "American Soldier," a song so gung-ho and puffed up that it could be a musical recruitment poster, you know he’s gearing up for a scud missile of a payoff. Sure enough. By the time he gets to "The Taliban Song," a comedic and cartoonish skewering of The Enemy, recorded in concert, it’s hard to remember that he once wrote well-crafted ballads of romantic infatuation. Now it’s all grandstanding, baby, even the best-written song, a jazzy, talking blues which fillets his critics. Made Me a Toby Keith Fan 
2009-08-18 - This is the first Toby Keith album I bought and it made me a fan. Now I buy all his work and am never disappointed. The songs on this album catch you from the start and the more you hear them, the more you fall in love with them. They are all well written and performed to perfection. If you like music, especially country music, you will love this album. Since I like this album so much, I was curious about it's average aggregrate rating. So I investigated. Most of the ratings are either 5 star or 1 star, love it or hate it. The 5 star ratings rate the music, the 1 star ratings rate the politics. If you don't like his message don't buy the album but don't denigrate a stellar musical composition based on your unpatriotic views. I am sure Toby won't miss you.

2009-04-08 - his earlier work when he was hungry for stardom was passable and the backup made him sound good but the past few years each album gets worse .this singer is busy with his power trip . he seems to be trying to say how bad how tough, how macho he is but comes through as pushy ignorant and obnoxious ill take george strait garth brooks, and alan jackson these artists manage to be patriotic and gentlemen too they are such talents and sexy i gave this cd away couldnt find anybody who would pay me for it

My favorite tune on this album is "If I were Jesus". It is very witty
USO Tour Trooper
2008-01-13 - When it comes to "Country Music", I barely possess 'pedestrian knowledge. But for the past couple of years, I'm settling in.
I have one guideline, however; A USO tour will be a selling point in any album purchase.
