Editorial Review:
Here's one of the most exciting, nonstop action-adventure hits since TOP GUN! When an international enemy turns to high-tech weaponry, the U.S. Army enlists the aid of the Apaches -- America's elite airborne task force specially trained for aerial assault! Flying the world's most advanced attack helicopters, these hotshot 'Fire Birds' battle an evasive foe -- hovering, diving, and dodging death on dangerous secret missions inside hostile territory! Starring Nicolas Cage (MOONSTRUCK), Tommy Lee Jones (THE PACKAGE), and sexy actress Sean Young (NO WAY OUT), FIRE BIRDS is an explosive action-epic, full of aerial gunfights and combat acrobatics ... audiences will be blown away by every thrilling second of FIRE BIRDS!
Fire Birds Reviews:
Firebirds - The Movie
2009-10-23 - The movie was great. Actually I bought two of them. One for my nephiew and one for me.
Both movies were in excellent condition.
Would I recommend this action packed movie ... Yes especially if you are interested in helicopters.
Fire Birds
2009-04-01 - One of my best movies with Nicolas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones 2 thumbs up!!
Calling this a terrible B-grade movie is a compliment.
2009-02-04 - first off, i am truly shocked at the positive reviews this movies is getting. Its ridiculous. One would normally expect a fair plot and decent acting from some credible actors of the likes of Nic Cage and Tommy Lee Jones. They must have been pretty desperate at that time cos this movie stinks bad! The so called story deals with attacking drug cartels in 'south america'! i find this hilarious the way they refer to 'South America' in context almost as a country , which could mean anywhere from Venezuela to Argentina.
If the acting and story wasn't bad enough, the way they depicted Apaches in this film is even worse. This is definitely one for the dustbin.
A very generous zero stars.
Top Gun for the Army
2008-06-14 - As someone else has already said before me, this is the "Top Gun" for the U.S. Army. Good cast, great filming of the Army helicopters though the story line is weak, still worth picking up!
Very Poor
2008-01-21 - Out of most of the "B" rated movies I've seen this had to be one of the worst. Don't waste your money on this one!
