Description of Men in Black (Deluxe Edition):
This imaginative summer comedy from director Barry Sonnenfeld (Get Shorty) is a lot of fun, largely on the strength of Will Smith's engaging performance as the rookie partner of a secret agent (Tommy Lee Jones) assigned to keep tabs on Earth-dwelling extraterrestrials. There's lots of comedy to spare in this bright film, some of the funniest stuff found in the margins of the major action. (A scene with Smith's character being trounced in the distance by a huge alien while Jones questions a witness is a riot.) The inventiveness never lets up, and the cast--including Vincent D'Onofrio doing frighteningly convincing work as an alien occupying a decaying human--hold up their end splendidly. --Tom Keogh

2008-08-29 - Excellent Blu-ray. I owned the Superbit version of the film, which has been replaced with the Blu-ray. Outstanding picture and sound. Worth the upgrade to Blu-ray if you previously owned the film...

2008-08-18 - If you like this movie and still do not have it in blu ray, then buy it soon. You'll love it even more. The picture and sound are excellent.
It's worth spending the extra money. You will not be disappointed.

2008-08-02 - I've watched the movie many times on my DVD player, always one of our favorites, but now with the Blu-ray even more so.
Outstanding PQ, a must for you Blu-ray collectors.
Still Great, but Better
2008-07-19 - I still like this movie just like I did when it was first out, but now with it being in Blu-ray it's even better. The picture is so clear and the sound is amazing. It's crazy what they can do with movies now days.
