Sledge Hammer is a laugh a minute!
2009-10-27 - I have loved this show since it first aired on TV back in the mid-eighties, and it is still just as great today as it was back then. David Rasche plays the title character Sledge Hammer and he is excellent as the parody of Dirty Harry style law enforcers. Harrison Page is fantastic in the role of Capt. Trunk, who's main gag is losing his cool and exploding in anger at the antics of Sledge, who you can guess is always causing trouble. Anne-Marie Martin is wonderful as Sledge's sidekick Dori Doreau, and she brings some much-needed balance and brains to the team. She also kicks some serious butt now and then too. Even the supporting cast is great. I cannot say enough good things about this show! In the famous words of Sledge Hammer, "Trust Me, I know what I'm doing!", and trust me when I say that you'll love Sledge Hammer!
Sledge Hammer Rules Again
2009-10-12 - If you remember this show from the '80's, then you know it was a cult classic. This was a spoof of the cop shows and movies of the '70's and '80's. Lots of humor and not very socially or politically correct. Very nice set of DVD's with commentary and additional footage. This is something you need in your collection. Buy it now...."trust me, I know what I am doing".

2009-09-12 - The show is funny. I had forgotten what the show was like and it is very funny.
Underated TV Classic
2009-06-03 - WHen I was 10 I thought Sledge Hammer was the funniest show on TV and all these years later it still is. A cult classic for those who remember it and even better now without that annoying laugh track. Comedy just isn't good anymore and with the popularity of celeb/reality TV I doubt it ever will be again. The only thing that sucks is that they were only able to do two seasons but these DVDs bring it all back and the creator gets it and has made a DVD that cult fans of the show will be pleased with.
