Editorial Review:
From the confusion and chaos that marked one of the most harrowing episodes in American history comes Tori Amos's masterwork. Scarlet's Walk, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed covers LP, Strange Little Girls, was written on a cross-country road trip shortly after the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. Over the course of 3,000 miles and 18 tracks, the crimson-haired singer encounters rogue lovers ("A Sorta Fairytale"), reformed porn stars ("Amber Waves"), and an entire cast of characters who embody the spirit of a country suddenly searching for an identity. The album serves as both an ambitious travelogue and as a graceful rejoinder to the bitterness and frustration that inspired it, with Amos wading through swells of sadness ("I Can't See New York"), anger ("Don't Make Me Come to Vegas"), and insecurity ("Your Cloud") with velvety grace. --Aidin Vaziri

Scarlet's Walk Reviews:
trail of blood and amens 5 Star Review
2009-10-14 - Tori Amos tells the true history of America through the eyes of Native people using the traditional American Indian storyscape, map of the land through story and song. Brilliant modern take on an ancient story form. As a Native person, I was so touched by her rendition of this way of storytelling, especially since she herself is a mixed blood. It gets a little long towards the end but it is such a good album, I could care less. key tracks for me are Gold Dust, Virginia and Your Cloud. Your Cloud is about separating the People from their Land via the Trail of Tears and how is felt like it was like separating water molecules. Genius work and I praise my Native sister.

This is a replacement for a worn out from use c.d. Thanks very much for adding it back into my collection. The C.D. is in great shape, and I appreciate the prompt delivery.

Scarlet's Walk - Another Amos Masterpiece 5 Star Review
2009-07-01 - This is, definitely another fantastic Tori Amos album. It is difficult for me to write a review, because I like her music so much it seems like superficiality.

I highly recommend this and all her albums. This is one of the longer ones, and it's got some really great tracks on it. "Wampum Prayer" is unique in being completely vocal, like "Me and a Gun," but without the disturbing imagery of that particular song.

The opening track, "Amber Waves," is another favorite, as is the second, "A Sorta Fairytale." They flow into each other effortlessly, creating a truly transcendental musical journey. The album continues with more favorites, with "Carbon" being another incredibly amazing track.

Five stars.

Scarlet's Walk 4 Star Review
2009-05-11 - Scarlet's Walk being Amos 7th studio album and her 2002 release was a major hit for Amos and peaked at #7 in the Billboard 200. Songs that standout on this album are "A Sorta Fairytale", "Taxi Ride" and "Don't Make Me Come to Vegas". The booklet is filled with many nice pictures of Ms Amos and it all the lyrics are included along with a list of whom plays what on the album. 4/5.
