Editorial Review:
While the term sound-alike easily applies to quite a few singers, Trace Adkins's husky, thoroughly honest baritone is among country's most distinctive and compelling voices. The opening title song of More... sets an optimistic tone that continues with "I'm Gonna Love You Anyway" and "Can I Want Your Love." Contrasting with the jocular Western swing of "All Hat, No Cattle," which pairs Adkins with Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel, is the eloquent, authoritative blue-collar homage "Working Man's Wage," free of the posturing that often undermines similar songs. True, George Jones could work wonders with "The Night He Can't Remember," yet Adkins, a cowriter, more than does it justice. Not that he sidesteps sorrow. The bittersweet "She's Still There" and the painful "Don't Lie" face it head-on. "Every Other Friday at Five" takes an uplifting look at the responsible side of divorced fatherhood. Adkins's ability to navigate the decidedly dicey waters of Nashville while maintaining a rock-ribbed traditional perspective reflects talent for the long haul. --Rich Kienzle

Sometimes the best ones don't sell as much
2009-12-04 - This, to me, is the best Trace Adkins album, even though it probably sold less than any other he's released (why that happened I'm not sure).
There are a number of classic songs on this record. I think this is his real masterpiece. "Working Man's Wage" and "Someday" are two favorites of mine. Most every song on this album is great.
I also think his current 2009 hit "All That Matters Anymore" returns to the style of some of the songs on this record.
Trace is a real artist with a unique voice. The only others I know with any kind of similar type of deep voice are Josh Turner (who hit the scene much later than Trace)...and then there's Don Williams, who I think may have influenced Trace a little, though Trace's voice is more powerful- Don's is gentler.
I'd say, for the current Amazon price of $5.98, don't miss purchasing this CD if you don't have it. You can't go wrong at that price.
Trace Adkins: More...
2009-02-17 - CD was rockin.
CD arrived in a very timely fashion.
CD arrived in excellent condition.
Trace Adkins is a class act
2009-01-19 - I'm not a country fan but saw him on The Apprentice and he really came across as a true professional, polite and kind man. His music is fun and the lyrics are strong with some good musical hooks.
Trace Adkins the ladies heart throb
2008-02-17 - My wife is the biggest Trace fan ever. So I have purchased most of the Cd's that he has published so far. The only ones I don't have are the ones with the same song as her others. But this seller did a good job for me, the product was of good quality and the delivery speed was excellent. I would recommend seller to anyone.
He has certain appeal
2007-03-18 - He is quite unique in the way he writes & sings!
