The corny, the funny, and the Bizarre.
2009-11-11 - while previewing some of these on you tube and Google video i knew i had to get this set. although only two of them really stand out to me, the others are quite odd/boring "Odd" being 'Merlin's shop of mystical wonders' and "boring" being Boggy creek and the legend? (right) continues.. not that it's bad it's just not that good there are some that are not even watchable Manos comes to mind. Merlin's.. was so bizarre it was not even really funny rather creepy/funny
if i had my way i would have thrown in "Mitchel" and "skydivers" both watchable and utterly hilarious.
This is good only because of Time Chasers with 'the touch of Satan' coming in at a close second both are stupidly funny of course entirely different altogether. Anyone who's already a Mistie will know the detail of these episodes so i will not go on, bottom line if you like MST3K humor as well as riff traxxs, film crew, cinematic titanic Buy This.

2009-08-29 - All of these shows are great. One of the very few shows that I was sad to see go. If you're a fan, you already know, and you owe it to someone else to share the joy!

2009-06-30 - We're really impressed with the fast service! (This is Katia, Jason's wife). I ordered this early in the week, hoping we'd get the DVD set by Saturday, which is our traditional "MST3K" night. With standard ground shipping, the package actually arrived on Friday--less than a week after placing the order. Easy to navigate DVD's have excellent scene selections and our DVd's arrived in perfect condition.

The whole point of MST3K is the riffing, and there are tons of them with these movies. This set is worth buying just to own the "Boggy Creek" episode. We crack up every time we watch Crenshaw admiring the tomboyish Tanya. When she jumps up, sick from trying his "chaw", Crenshaw says,"Sho' is a man's kinda woman". Leslie gets up to check on Tanya, and as she walks by, Crenshaw turns and looks surprised. Instantly Crow riffs: "Hell, there's another one!" Watch for that scene and you'll understand. Another one to watch for is, "No woman should have to see the...(pause)...little creature!" Lots of funny scenes and riffing in this one...LOTS. Even the scene selections are funny--"Bitchy Creek", "Stool Life with Creature" and "Stuck in the Mud with You".

The other episodes in this set...well, "The Touch of Satan" and "Time Chasers" are pretty good, too, but be prepared for "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders"...what a weird flick! Still, this is probably one of the best MST3K collections and we definately recommend it. All four movies are at least fairly watchable on their own, and the riffing makes it a must-have collection. Our only complaint is that Overman didn't respond to an email we sent when we placed the order--we had a simple mailing request to ensure the package was delivered to the correct address. Other than the lack of personal response, we are VERY happy with the service and the perfect condition of the DVD's. BUY THIS--you'll be glad you did.
