    Description of Juice:
Spike Lee's longtime cinematographer, Ernest R. Dickerson, made his directorial debut with this violent story about four Harlem teens whose lives are changed when a store robbery goes wrong. The film has been likened to an urban The Wild Bunch, but it is far too artificial for that. With Dickerson's eye, Juice understandably looks great, but at the end of the day it is only a slightly better version of the heavily clichéd crime movies that have artificially dominated perceptions of black cinema in the U.S. in the '90s. Rap fans might enjoy seeing some familiar stars on board, including Queen Latifah and Tupac Shakur. --Tom Keogh

    Juice Reviews:
good but depressing.... 3 Star Review
2009-08-27 - this one is more about character study than about plot...you're just getting a glimpse into the life of young black males in harlem nyc....omar epps as q was the most likeable of all the characters...the scenes which he dj's is cool...especially when he's participating in a dj contest....tupac wasn't really acting, he was just playing himself, just wilding out on screen and blowing away people because he felt like it...there was nothing really hopeful or uplifting about the movie at all....queen latifah and samuel l. jackson gave good performances...that along with omar epps performance and the soundtrack pushed this film into the marginal three star range....

Juice-- Now you got the Juice. 5 Star Review
2009-06-14 - Excellent Acting By 2pac, downright scary, In this Gritty Street Drama.
Movie is somewhat a Moral lesson, Quite Ironic considering. Teaches that power is nothing and you can be touched.
