Editorial Review:
David Coverdale (formerly of Deep Purple) formed Whitesnake in 1978. Throughout the history of the band many excellent musicians have come and gone including John Sykes, Adrian Vandenberg, Vivian Campbell, Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and the legendary Steve Vai. This 'Jam with' album enables guitarist to play along with the band emulating the style of the Pros.

Jam Jam Jam With Whitesnake Reviews:
Essential book for the guitar-playing Whitesnake fan 5 Star Review
2006-08-12 - I've had such a good time playing along "Jam with Whitesnake". Now, if I could only find a buddy with a voice resembling Coverdale (ha! it's never gonna happen)

This is a highly professional sheet music/CD combo. If you are a fan of Whitesnake and has decent guitar skills, this is a great purchase: you get to read accurate transcriptions (standard notation and tablature) of great Whitesnake songs and the CD has excellent instrumental versions - with and without the guitar, so you can listen how it should sound or jam along.
The guitar transcription include all guitar work: riffs, arpeggios, chords and, of course, the solos!

The comments by the author on the harmony and melody and guitar setting of each track are spot-on and instructive. While I can't assure the transcription is 100% accurate, it is so good that for all practical purposes, if you play what is written on paper, you will be delivering the tune (getting the same awesome guitar tones, not to mention the speed of John Sykes and Steve Vai, is another matter)

The song selection is an appealing mix of the hair metal, US-based era ("Still of the Night", "Is this Love", "Judgement Day") but also includes the British blues-rock era: the original "Fool for your loving", "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" and "Don't Break My Heart Again". It is touching for me to see the good work of Micky Moody and Mel Galley on sheet music after all these years for I love the music they did on the old Whitesnake. They were two of the most gifted and melodious guitar players of the British blues-rock scene.I feel they have been unjustly overlooked.

I say buy this great book/CD before it goes out-of-print - it has been nearly 20 years since Whitesnake's commercial peak so who knows if you gonna find a new copy in the future?

Love it! 5 Star Review
2006-04-11 - I'm not sure what the other reviewer's problem is, I've got this book and I think it's awesome!! The backing tracks are really nice, and the tab sounds pretty darn close to the original. What more could you want?
