The Definitive Collection Reviews:
Better than expected 4 Star Review
2009-05-26 - Lots of remastered tracks and several good timejams are on this cd. Many good hard rocking songs I had never heard before. A coupa cheezy songs makes this one a 4.

Awesome metal band. 5 Star Review
2009-05-20 - Whitesnake started when music was music and vocalists were real vocalists. Coverdale is an amazing songwriter and just a breath taking vocalist. David Coverdale is second only to Robert Plant in this style of vocals and music. The match up of Coverdale/Page was a match made in heaven. Live it was like classic Zeppelin. To bad it was so short lived, but there's a taste on this collection. Whitesnake just keeps getting better with every album. \m/

Solid Collection, But Not "Definitive" 4 Star Review
2008-12-21 - A very solid collection of Whitesnake songs primarily from "Slide it In" "1987" and "Slip of the Tongue". These songs are all most people will need, but if you are a hardcore 'Snakes fan, you are better off buying "Gold: Whitesnake" as it has far more from the band's early years.
I should point out that one of the big upsides to this album is that it features the U.K. versions of all the songs off "Slide it In". These versions are quite difficult to obtain in the U.S., and many feel are superior to the more slickly produced American cuts. These are, however, certainly not "remixed" versions as the "Kid Reviewer" claimed in his three unnecessary and uninformed reviews.
In conclusion this is a very good collection of Whitesnake songs, but not quite as "Definitive" as it claims to be.

The Snake! 5 Star Review
2008-11-28 - This is one of the most underrated rock bands of all time. David Coverdale is a killer vocalist and this collection provides the bulk of their hit material throught their career. Love it.

Sweet satisfaction...I'm ready an' willing! 5 Star Review
2008-07-03 - Although I'm normally used to writing long reviews, I'll keep this one short: "The Definitive Collection" is a great compilation album by Whitesnake, with eighteen awesome songs that have an outstanding sound quality, cool band pics, an interesting history of them and it's all at a good price. Until you start collecting their studio albums, this is a great place to start. Also, definitely check out their 1987 self-titled album "Whitesnake", which is basically their best-known album! Thanks for the time, and peace.
